Thomas is a seasoned artist with 17 years of experience in the world of piercing, he is also a talented paramedical tattoo artist specializing in scalp micropigmentation (SMP). With a passion for helping clients regain confidence through artful enhancements, Thomas combines precision and creativity to deliver exceptional results that celebrate individuality and self-expression.
Tatiana, affectionately known as the “Texas Needle Queen,” has seamlessly transitioned from a 15-year career in healthcare to the dynamic world of aesthetics. She applies to her medical background and artistry in cosmetic injections, cosmetic tattooing, microneedling, lipo dissolve injections, and piercings. Tatiana is dedicated to enhancing her clients’ natural beauty while ensuring a comfortable and empowering experience.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any entrepreneurial journey, the path to establishing ATX Beauty & Body Art was not without its challenges. One of the major obstacles we faced was navigating the complexities of starting a business, from securing the capital to finding the perfect location that embodied our vision. Additionally, building a brand in a competitive industry required us to continuously refine our skills and stay ahead of trends, all while fostering a welcoming environment that truly resonates with our diverse clientele.
Moreover, we encountered the typical hurdles of balancing work and personal life as a husband and wife team, which sometimes blurred the lines between our professional and personal relationships. However, these obstacles only strengthened our resolve and deepened our partnership, allowing us to create a unique space where creativity and community flourish. What do you like and dislike about the city?
What we love most about Austin is its vibrant culture and creative spirit. When we can get away from work we appreciate the live music and art scene. Nothing beats indulging in delicious Tex-Mex and savoring a refreshing Mexican martini. We love Austin’s natural beauty, from fields of wildflowers, oak trees, the lake, to the mesmerizing sight of bats at dusk, adds to Austin’s charm and allure.
On the flip side, the traffic can be quite a challenge, especially during peak hours, Additionally, the Texas heat can be intense, which sometimes keeps us indoors. However, the vibrant community, rich culture, and endless opportunities for connection and creativity far outweigh these minor inconveniences, making Austin a truly special place to call home.
