Exploring Life & Business with Jackie Dorman of Last Year Single

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackie Dorman

Hi Jackie , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always been the Matchmaker. Even when I was in grade school I played the role of wingwoman for my friends and their crushes. I just love to see people happy and in love. Before I made this into a business I helped dozens of my friends find lasting love.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worthwhile ever comes easy. It doesn’t need to be easy—it just needs to be worth it. Helping people heal their hearts and prepare for love, especially those from broken families and relationships, can be challenging and stressful. But it’s also very rewarding too!

We’ve been impressed with Last Year Single , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We help people get out of their own way when it comes to meeting someone special and finding love. Our program has three phases, starting with what we call “The Heart Work” and wrapping up with a vibrant community full of marriage-minded singles.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I am part of a vibrant business mastermind. They have helped me in the times that I’ve gotten stuck in moving forward and making decisions. Everybody needs a coach! I suggest that you find someone who is doing what you want to do (and doing it well) and allow them to help lead and guide you through the obstacles to success.
