Today we’d like to introduce you to Samuel Williams
Hi Samuel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been making music for my entire life. Whether it be from growing up in the church, playing instruments, or just straight up dancing. Music was always a part of my upbringing. Everything took off around my first year of high school. At that time I was starting to become more comfortable with recording my own music and a swift moment of decision making I chose to start my musical career. I released my first single “Movin’ On” on Soundcloud and from that moment it’s honestly been history. Fast forward 8 or 9 years and I’d say that I’m a well accomplished artist. Throughout my growth in hip hop I’ve been involved in multiple showcases, competitions, even opportunities to have my own featured performances. Despite the list of accomplishments I hold, there is still work to be done. I constantly challenge my creativity and my content to find that rue sound the brings the success I’ve been working so hard to achieve. Now I live in Austin and I’m becoming a more well rounded artist, so I just wait to see what the future holds.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Heck no! Battling self doubt, loss of relationships, and the progression of my artistry are just a sample of the obstacle I’ve had to deal with in this career. If anything the struggles I’ve dealt with have doe nothing but shape me into the wisest version of myself.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Hip Hop artist, or a rapper as most would recognize it as. Although I make a lot of high energy, aggressive rap. My musical discography ranges in all sorts of the genre. My versatility is what I think truly separates me from the other artists in my generation.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
No matter where you find yourself in your journey. As long as you stay true to your goal, and focus your energy on the benefit of yourself and the loved ones in your circle. Then in result you will manifest positive, successful energy which will transfer into your day to day living. “You must walk through the thorns to truly find that patch of grass in the field of success.”
