Today we’d like to introduce you to Tre Abeita
Hi Tre, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The Shop ATX is home to some of Central Texas’s most highly motivated and talented hair professionals in the industry. Joaquin Ugarte and my self (Tré Abeita) officially opened doors to The Shop ATX in March of 2023.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Joaquin and I have brought different expertise to the build out of our brand. In the beginning, it was an adjustment to see each others visions though our own lenses but as we sat, gathered ideas and collaborated, we grew together and the process became easy and exciting. The most difficult part of our experience this far had been finding the right fit of creatives to join our team, we are always working and looking to improve, grow and find more entrepreneurial talent to come in and help elevate our community.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our Barbershop specializes in modern and custom haircut services and we are known for our wide range of styles and expertise. Aside from the art of barbering we pride ourselves in the community of clients we’ve built. Ranging from the average joes, to the entrepreneurs of the greater Austin area, to professional athletes and entertainers. Who knows who you may be sitting next to under our roof. We pride ourselves in helping everyone feel confident and equal to.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson learned thus far has been to not become complacent and just continue to be listeners and learners. As the owners we also have to meet the needs of our barbers and the clientele. You have to become selfless and willing to help when necessary and continue to be a student of the craft.
