Today we’d like to introduce you to David Salinas
Hi David, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2011, my mother, Maria, had grown weary of working for various restaurants in the region. After much deliberation, she and I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey to establish a food truck, thereby gaining independence and pursuing her long-held aspiration of owning a restaurant.
Since then, our culinary venture has expanded to serve the northeast Austin/Windsor Park area.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Although the journey has been relatively uncomplicated, adhering to new regulations imposed by the city and local governments has proven to be financially burdensome. Additionally, we have successfully navigated the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, despite the significant economic impact and limited supply chain disruptions.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As a DREAMER and the Chief Officer of Operations at Mi Trailita y Mas, I oversee the day-to-day operations, manage employees and inventory, and ensure the smooth functioning of the business.
I take great pride in the fact that I have been instrumental in maintaining the business’s success for the past 13 years.
