Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Scene
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I got started as a DJ as a senor in high school. I knew music and more specifically djing is something i wanted to do long term. I attended NMSU where i got my first start in radio. I did a few semesters at our student run radio station where i started my first mix show, Aaron Scene’s House Party where i featured local DJs from the city of Las Cruces and El Paso TX. Soon after i got my shot at professional radio at Hot 103 a local radio station. I interned there for a summer and after that i was hired on as a part time employee. During that time I also began spinning in the nightlife taking any opportunity that I could. Years down the road I now host the number one afternoon show in the area plus start my own weekend mix show “The Hot 103 House Party” where i feature DJs from across the country and various DJs from Austin TX. And being regarded as one of the best djs in the area has allowed me to venture into the city of Austin and DJ at the premiere latin spots in that city.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As with anything in life worth accomplishing, I’ve had my fair share of obstacles that I’ve had to learn to overcome. There have been plenty of times where i have told myself maybe it was time to quit or move on but one thing i have definitely learned on my road to personal success is perseverance. You keep on keeping on not because you want to but because you have to. You have to learn to live and even love the tough moments in life because it makes the highs that much better.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Im currently a DJ and radio personality for Hot 103 and a club DJ in el paso tx and las cruces nm. Being a DJ i get to travel to different cities and DJ in bars and nigh clubs across the country. including those of Austin. I also host my own podcast “Aaron Scene’s After Party” where I interview the best of the best in nightlife and entertainment all across Texas, I’ve had the pleasure of hosting some of the best Austin has to offer as well. I am also a content creator and some what of a micro influencer in the state of Texas and beyond.
How do you think about happiness?
Ive come to learn that happiness comes from within. You are what you project to the world. If you’re happy at what you’re doing and you’re setting yourself up to be then you are truly happy. Being myself, being around the ones i love and just doing what makes me happy is what brings me true happiness everyday.
