Daily Inspiration: Meet Jose Najar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jose Najar

Hi Jose, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
At 12 years old, I discovered MTV’s Making the Video and was immediately captivated—not by the final product, but by the behind-the-scenes process. The camera angles, the directing choices, and the way everything came together fascinated me. As soon as I could buy my own VHS and DVDs, I sought out films with director’s cuts and special features, eager to learn more about the craft. By then, I was fully immersed in theatre and film classes, continuing through my senior year of high school. After graduation, I took my passion further by enrolling in broadcasting school, determined to turn my love for production into a career. Working for radio stations and video production companies fueled my ambition to carve out my own path. By 2012, I started producing music videos for recording artists and launched Najar Media. After a decade of crafting some of the most recognized music videos in Austin, TX, I made the strategic decision to expand into the commercial sector—helping businesses build a strong online presence through high-quality video production, captivating photography and ad placements.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
