Today we’d like to introduce you to Avaya Peña
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Avaya Peña, I’m 22 years old and born and raised in Austin, Texas.
My fascination for skin health began in my middle school years.
I personally never struggled with serious skin conditions but my sister however had a different experience. She became my inspiration to learn more.
Overtime I naturally created a foundation of knowledge and wanted to make a career out of it. The success I had with treating my sister’s skin was exciting for us both and we built trust with the process. That ultimately gave me the conclusion that becoming an Esthetician would be perfect for me.
Estheticians are able to create their own philosophy. We connect on a deep level with clients while being results driven with science and natural healing.
In 2021, I graduated at Austin High School and enrolled at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute. I completed schooling and testing and officially became Licensed as an Esthetician in summer of 2022.
Not long after, I landed my first Esthetician position at a MedSpa. This allowed to me to get hands on and broaden my expertise into more corrective treatments.
As 2024 was coming to an end, an amazing opportunity came upon and it truly felt like everything was aligning with what god already had planned for me. I knew I was ready to create a brand for myself that aligned with everything I was passionate about and believed in.
SKIN VISIONS expresses my love for skin and the significance it has with our health.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road but I don’t expect it to be either.
Building a business is building an investment, which ultimately requires sacrifice to generate results.
What can be difficult, is doing the research and figuring out every step on your own when you don’t have the blueprint. However, you gain so much knowledge along the way.
Having a strong foundation like your loved ones is also very important, which I am grateful for.

My business name is SKIN VISIONS. I am a Solo Licensed Esthetician that specializes in treating the skin. Specifically, corrective treatments targeting difficult skin concerns.
My services consist of a variety of Facials, Chemical Peels, Dermaplaning and Nanochanneling.
I customize each visit and truly invest time and research into my clients to provide a successful journey.
To me, the perfect harmony is a blend of holistic health and science. I would love to be your trusted Skin Specialist.
