Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Mattiza
Hi Cynthia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
This year I’m celebrating 15 years in the Real Estate industry. I started as a young and ambitious 24 year old in 2010, which was in the middle of the housing financial crisis. No one was really buying, and they certainly were not hiring a 24 year old with no experience so I took on leasing leads all over Austin. This helped me learn how to navigate the current rental landscape, while learning contracts, the leasing process and building my client network. I took on lease leads all over Austin and would drive around sometimes for days to help people find a rental. I would work the office phone booth for sign calls and try to convert them to leads. I reflect and I get emotional thinking about the grit, the determination to succeed and that looking back at that young girl who just really wanted to just make it in this industry.
Fast forward, I’ve earned the awards from Austin Business Journal, Top Agent In my office, and been a Platinum Top 50 Winner and Nominee since 2013,. I have built a client base that I’m so proud of and grateful for the community of fellow agents and mentors I’ve met along the way.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, but I love that success isn’t measured by how quickly it takes to rise to the top. As mentioned, it’s taken me 15 years to have the career that I have and I think being underestimated has helped me learned the grit and grace it takes to be successful. I’ve evolved over the years, I listen to a lot of podcasts on self worth, growth, and learning to surround myself with positive and influential circles who keep me humble and constantly learning.
There are many struggles when building a real estate career,. The one I have struggled with the most is self doubt. Am I good enough? Can I do this? Who will hire me? The truth is, I know I am good enough, I know I can do this, and I have had many clients hire me, but for some reason once in a while, I will still doubt this.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Cynthia Mattiza, Real Estate?
I’ve been practicing real estate in Austin for 15 years. My passion is helping people find their homes, find their communities and truly love where they live. I’m proud of the fact that I have built my business with steady stream of referrals from past clients and friends. I am deeply rooted in my community, and giving back to that community is what fuels my passion.
If you are looking for a realtor to be open and honest with you, I’m your girl. I will never be the person to tell you what you want to hear. It can be difficult for newer agents to have that confidence, but I want to be the agent you will call 10 years from now when you move again,
I specialize in Southwest + West Austin areas. I live in Bee Cave, my kids go to the local schools and my motto is to Live Here, Give Here, Work Here.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I absolutely love collaborating with others. As mentioned, i enjoy spending my time surrounding myself with fellow positive influential women who are in the same space of sharing ideas, and having open + honest conversations.
It can be so easy to support other women businesses by simply asking how they can help you grow. Referrals are the absolute best compliment, but also a quick follow on IG, or complimenting their business is an easy and free way to do that. It amazes me how many supportive women are out in my community, but I think there is still room to grow for women to support other women.
