Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiko Rojas.
Hi Kiko , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a certified bodyworker practicing out of Austin, Texas. I dream of a world where more people feel empowered in their everyday lives to express their truth through the daily actions and movements that define our beings.
I love embodied movement whether it’s through rock climbing, ecstatic dance, or rolling around on the floor for hours at a time deepening the connection to my body.
My belief is that a gift is meant to be shared and multiplied for all to benefit from which is why I am truly honored to share these tools with others to aid in their own personal growth journey.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have personally experienced years of internal tension due to sports injuries, poor posture, and internalizing stress which affected me deeply on a physical level.
I felt trapped within myself and had to learn the skills to create space for facilitating healing and transformation on an anatomical, psychological, and emotional level.
The doubts and fears that came with starting my own business were a large obstacle that I’m now grateful for. To be on the other side and able to set my schedule, charge the rates which reflect my value, and work in the capacity I wish is a gift beyond measure.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Bodywork is a personal development technique that involves working with the human body in a form involving manipulative therapy, breath work, or energy medicine.
The goal is to realign and reposition the body; this may allow the body to move in a natural, graceful way.
Bodywork therapy works to relieve pain, increase relaxation, boost circulation, and also correct imbalances in the body. It will help to reduce your stress and anxiety levels while also helping with your range of motion.
I tell people it’s like if Thai Massage and Physical Therapy had a love child and it’s name was Kiko.
Clients say after a session it’s like nothing they’ve experienced before and are in disbelief at the tangible transformations they experience. A truly unique offering to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself seeking to be witnessed.
The hands have so much power within and can be a catalyst for others if you offer your presence, attention, and energy to help facilitate the experience.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Play, connection, movement, personal expression, freedom to find your passion because these are the things that make life worth living and what I wish to cultivate for myself and others all day everyday.
