Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittani Foret.
Hi Brittani, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began working in restaurants during high school, and I quickly developed a passion for the industry, particularly for service and leadership. Over the past 10 years, I’ve built a strong foundation in Restaurant and Bar Management. In 2019, I was seeking a new challenge and discovered Patio Dolcetto. After meeting the owners, we instantly connected and felt it was a perfect fit. Since then, it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience providing high-quality, affordable wines and food selections to the San Marcos community and beyond.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I joined the team at Patio Dolcetto in June of 2019, and by October, we took on the challenge of expanding our kitchen and food menu. The experience went smoothly and was incredibly rewarding. In March 2020, we temporarily closed due to CDC guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic. When we reopened in July, we saw a significant boost in sales. We were fortunate to have stayed proactive with staffing and preparations to handle the increase in business. Throughout this period, the ownership and I maintained an open mindset, adapting quickly to new circumstances to ensure the safety of both our staff and guests.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a General Manager at a Wine Bar that operates out of a remodeled 100 year old home in San Marcos, Texas.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Adapting to change, staying positive, and always keeping my mind open to any and all ideas.
