Exploring Life & Business with Claudia Howard of Claudia Howard Interiors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Howard.

Hi Claudia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised in Mexico as an only child, and from a young age, I found myself drawn to beauty—not just in the traditional sense, but in buildings, details, textures, and the way spaces made people feel. I would admire the lines of an edifice, the mix of materials, and how color could completely shift an experience. That curiosity led me to study architecture in Monterrey, where my passion for design truly took root.

Early in my career, I discovered the exciting world of interiors. I began helping clients bring their visions to life—specializing in vacation homes in South Padre Island, Texas—and I loved how personal and emotional interior design could be. After getting married and moving to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, I continued pursuing my passion while raising two wonderful daughters. It was there that I deepened my expertise in luxury, legacy residential projects—spaces that told stories and were designed to last.

Eventually, life brought us to Austin, Texas, where I pursued and completed my Master of Arts in Interior Architecture and Design. During that time, I also had the privilege of working with some incredible design firms focused on high-end residential and commercial work. Those experiences, along with the guidance of amazing mentors, helped shape both my confidence and my long-term vision. And when the time felt right, I took the leap and opened my own boutique design studio.

The entrepreneurial journey has been both challenging and exciting—it’s definitely not easy, but it’s absolutely worth it. I want my daughters to see what’s possible when you believe in your vision and go for it. I watched my own mother do just that, and it shaped everything I believe today.

Now, I get to guide clients through the design process, lead them to make thoughtful decisions, and handle all the details so they can focus on their lives, work, and families. I love knowing they’re not just happy with the results, but proud of the journey we took together. I’m deeply grateful for the trust they place in me.

Every day, I manifest what I believe and stay open to what’s next. I’m still walking this path—growing, learning, evolving—and I’m thankful for all of it.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It isn’t an easy path, but I know that is just part of the journey. Moving to different cities means constantly adapting and starting fresh. Balancing motherhood and my career is a daily challenge, and as a business owner, I’m wearing all the hats while managing the pressure to get things just right. Fear and doubt still show up, but I am learning to move forward with them.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My boutique design studio is all about creating intentional interiors that feel as good as they look—and flow effortlessly with the way my clients live. I specialize in high-end residential design, crafting spaces that reflect each client’s lifestyle, values, and vision. I’m known for my attention to detail, my approachable and collaborative style, and for blending architectural knowledge with a global design perspective. I guide my clients through a seamless, curated process—from concept to completion—so they can focus on their lives while I manage every detail.

What sets me apart is not only my deep experience in luxury residential design, but also my background in high-end commercial interiors. That balance allows me to bring a heightened level of function, sophistication, and precision to every project. I’m proud that my brand is built on trust, intuition, and a strong commitment to excellence. My mission is to create environments that support, elevate, and inspire the people who live and work in them.
