Today we’d like to introduce you to Gracen Morrow.
Hi Gracen, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
For me, floral design felt like an “aha” moment in my college career as I was discovering future career paths. Through the power of prayer, I found my calling! I quickly began freelancing for florists all over Texas, gaining as much experience as possible. Then COVID hit, and I had plenty of time to actually create my business. Once my website was live, weddings haven’t stopped rolling in. I believe God provides, and he has proven that true for over 5 years now! My husband and I officially settled in New Braunfels in 2023 and I have been pouring my focus into the hill country/Austin area ever since!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course not! Every single wedding and hurdle is a lesson learned. I have worried and stressed and have had some business screwups that have scared the life out of me. Boundaries, taxes, installations – you name it. These experiences were so fundamental for my growth, confidence, and shaping the future of my business. I occassionally get to mentor others in the wedding industry and it has been so fruitful instilling confidence in women through my own mistakes!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a wedding and event florist serving the Texas hill country! I specialize in designs that are polished, but also colorful and organic. I am *hopefully* known for my connection with my clients and relationship we build over their engagement. I love when I show up to a wedding day and feel like I know the whole family. To me, our relationship is most important for there to be trust when it comes to providing a subjective product.
While my main focus is future brides, I want to continue my connections with past couples and their families, as well as vendors or other flower loves! I am currently creating some flower arranging classes, so be on the lookout!
What were you like growing up?
I had a wonderful childhood growing up in California, and then Dallas. Growing up as a twin, I loved having a built in best friend – although we are so different! I was very interested in all things painting and drawing and would always say I wanted to be an “artist” when I grew up. It is so sweet to see that dream come true!
