Jessica Cherry shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Jessica , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are a blend of calm intention and full-on mom mode. I give myself about five to eight minutes of meditation before anything else—just enough to ground my energy, set my mindset, and remind myself that no matter how busy life gets, I get to choose how I show up.
After that, the rest of the 90 minutes is all about the kids: waking them up, getting them dressed, making sure they start their day with a healthy breakfast and creating a sense of love and stability before they head out the door. As a busy mom and entrepreneur, I’ve learned that juggling “mom life” with “Jessica life” isn’t about balance—it’s about presence. Those first moments of calm allow me to pour into myself and then my kids, and once I’ve given them my focus and drop them off, I can step into my businesses and my purpose with clarity and power.
It’s not perfect, but it’s real, and it’s how I start every day grounded, grateful, and ready to lead.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Jessica Cherry—the creator behind Life of a Cherry Wife, She Will Empower, Lone Star Sound Baths, and Ladies Lifestyle Network Hays County—four platforms united by one mission: to empower and lift others. What began with Life of a Cherry Wife, my award-winning lifestyle blog sharing raw and relatable stories of motherhood, marriage, and the beautiful chaos of everyday life, has grown into a movement. Along the way, I’ve partnered with national brands like Target, H-E-B, Kalahari Resorts, Nickelodeon, and SHEIN, but the heartbeat of my work is the community of women who feel seen and supported through my journey.
That passion expanded into She Will Empower, where I blend NLP and Tony Robbins-style group and 1:1 coaching, podcasting, and motivational products to help women break free from burnout, frustration, and feeling generally stuck in life—and instead step into clarity, confidence, and purpose. Today, the She Will Empower Podcast is also broadcast on KWVH 94.3 Wimberley Valley Radio, and every Tuesday morning from 7–9 AM, I am the new co-host of The Wake Up Club, where I bring two hours of radio energy and music—the jolt you need to get up, get moving, and start your day with power!
I also nurture healing through Lone Star Sound Baths, guiding meditative sound experiences that calm the mind and restore balance. Last but certainly not least, I lead as Director of the Ladies Lifestyle Network Hays County, curating monthly events that spark collaboration, connection, and inspiration among women in business and beyond. I am proud to say that month after month we are one of the leading chapters in the nation.
Across every platform, my mission is the same: to create spaces I make people feel empowered, supported, and unstoppable.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I grew up with the belief that as women our role was to stay small, support from the background, and that we could not juggle careers or chase big dreams. I didn’t realize it then, but that was a limiting belief that kept me from fully seeing what was possible. Once I stepped into entrepreneurship, everything shifted. I learned firsthand that women can most certainly build businesses, raise families, pursue passions, and dream bigger than we were ever taught to.
That realization is at the heart of why I love doing what I do today—sharing mom and lifestyle, coaching, hosting events, speaking, and building communities where women empower each other to live without limits. I want my children to grow up knowing that they can be anything they want to be, that their voice matters, and that they never have to choose between their family and their dreams. For me, breaking that old belief wasn’t just about changing my own life—it was about rewriting the narrative for the next generation.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say something to my younger self, it would be: keep your eye on the prize, because the best is yet to come. There will be obstacles, challenges, and seasons that feel overwhelming, but every single one of them is shaping you into the woman you’re meant to blossom into. Don’t let setbacks make you question your worth—those very moments are the building blocks of your strength, resilience, and wisdom.
One day you’ll look back and realize that every hurdle you faced was preparing you to step fully into your power. Trust that the journey is working for you, not against you, and know that the woman you’re becoming is stronger, wiser, and more unstoppable than you could ever imagine.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what really matters to me is helping others see their own power—sometimes even before they see it in themselves. They know that I care deeply about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported and inspired to rise. Whether it’s through my businesses, my events, or just one-on-one conversations, they’d tell you that my heart is in helping others break free of limitations and step into the life they truly want.
At the end of the day, what matters most to me isn’t the titles or the accomplishments—it’s the impact. It’s knowing that my children, my friends, and the women I work with will walk away believing in themselves just a little more, and realizing that they, too, can build a life full of purpose, passion, and possibility.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace in two very different but equally powerful moments. One is right after a sound bath ends—when the last vibrations settle and the room is filled with that deep, collective stillness. There’s something so sacred about knowing we’ve created that sense of peace together, at least just for a moment, and that everyone is walking away lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves. It can be a sold out room or a one-on-one sound bath, that sense of calmness and peace is equally as beautiful.
The other is much simpler, but just as meaningful—Saturday mornings with my family. There’s nothing like sipping a slow cup of coffee in my pajamas, sharing breakfast, and enjoying the morning together. It’s a reminder that peace doesn’t always have to be sought; sometimes it’s found in the small, ordinary moments that end up being the most extraordinary.
