We recently had the chance to connect with Ren Gutierrez and have shared our conversation below.
Ren, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Who are you learning from right now?
Right now, I am learning from the quiet whispers of my intuition, letting it guide me toward what feels true and aligned. I am learning from the mothers around me, witnessing their wisdom, resilience, and tenderness as they move through the same sacred path of nurturing life. I am learning through painting, where colors, shapes, and textures reveal truths words cannot always hold, teaching me patience, expression, and surrender. And most deeply, I am learning through motherhood itself, where each moment is both a challenge and a gift, reshaping me into someone softer, stronger, and more open than I ever imagined.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
What makes me unique in my business is the way I weave the esoteric knowledge of tarot—my true love—into everything I offer, using it as both a mirror and a guide for healing, clarity, and transformation. My readings are not just about prediction but about uncovering deeper truths, connecting with spirit, and aligning with one’s soul path. This devotion to the unseen, paired with my intuitive gifts, sets my work apart and allows me to hold space in a way that feels both mystical and grounded. Looking toward the future, I am also working on becoming a nurse, expanding my ability to care for others in both spiritual and physical realms, bridging ancient wisdom with modern medicine.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
As a little girl, I lived in a world rich with imagination and wonder. My nights were filled with vivid dreams that felt like secret messages, guiding me even before I knew their meaning. I loved to sing and dance, letting my body and voice move freely as if they already knew the language of joy. Creating and telling stories came naturally, each one spun from the depths of my heart and the beauty I found around me. Nature was my constant companion—trees, flowers, and skies becoming friends and teachers—shaping the way I saw magic woven into every part of life.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
My wounds became my greatest teachers, calling me to face them directly instead of running away. I stepped into the shadows with courage, allowing myself to explore the pain, grief, and fear that lived there, and through this I discovered the power of play, creativity, and movement as pathways to healing. By witnessing my own body’s wisdom and listening deeply to what it carried, I learned how to release and transform what once felt heavy and unmovable. This journey not only brought me back to wholeness but also taught me how to hold space for others—using somatic witnessing and energetic clearings to help them navigate their own trauma, reconnect with their bodies, and find freedom on the other side of pain.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
My public persona and my private self carry different expressions, a balance I’ve learned to create as a way of protecting my energy and honoring my boundaries. In the public eye, I share my gifts, wisdom, and offerings with openness, yet I also know how to hold certain parts of myself sacred and unseen. This distinction allows me to give generously without depleting, to connect authentically without losing the intimacy of my inner world. By creating these boundaries, I safeguard my well-being and ensure that what I share with others comes from a grounded, nourished place, while my private self remains a sanctuary for rest, reflection, and renewal.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
The story told after I am gone will be one of strength and temperance, of a woman who walked with courage and grace even when life asked her to carry heavy things. I hope to be remembered as someone genuine, who spoke and acted from her heart, and who devoted herself fully to love and truth. At the center of my story will be my daughter, the gift I poured everything into—giving her what I never had, creating a foundation of safety, abundance, and unconditional love. My legacy will not be measured only in what I achieved, but in the way I transformed pain into purpose and left behind a life rooted in resilience, tenderness, and devotion.
