Naomi Glasgow of Cedar Park on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Naomi Glasgow and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Naomi , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: When was the last time you felt true joy?
Today… a super encouraging verse is “Then he said to them, “Go and eat what is rich, drink what is sweet, and send portions to those who have nothing prepared,  since today  is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, because the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

Christ changed my life and has filled me completely with all the fruits of the Spirit, set me free from bondage and has given me peace in all the areas I have felt empty or lack. It’s truly amazing..

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Naomi.. owner of seven feathers salon here in Austin Texas. At Seven Feathers Salon we stand by one statement and that is come as you are.

Life sometimes is life.. and I always will have my door open for anyone in need of service no matter what they personally might be going through, the salon is a safe place to let it all out!

I’m set apart from the rest, and you’ll recognize that the moment you walk into the salon. I’m filled with love, and listening ears to help you achieve your best look!

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with Jesus Christ. Once I started reading the Bible- I recognized that I have never heard such nice things be said about myself or identity, nor did I have any sort of root system in the truth. I really believe that once I started believing what God has to say about who I am because He is the I am, my life started to change.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely, if I’m being honest a-lot of times.. But I’m glad I didn’t. Even though there are many trials and tribulations, I’ve rooted my life in Christ so that no matter what’s going on I have my feet firm and ready. Owning a salon has its challenges but also many advantages!

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That it’s the clients fault when it’s you, take accountability..

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If immortality were real, what would you build?
I think it’s really important while I have the opportunity to be interviewed to call out the lies of thinking eternal living isn’t possible.. it’s not through a rock, or karma- There’s ONE way through Jesus Christ. I would like to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ on this platform and let every reader know that there is an opportunity for eternal living through the belief, recognition and saving of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who died on the cross, shed his blood took the sin of the world upon himself to forgive us and make a way to the father when there was no way not to judge us, but that he came to save us so that we won’t perish. He then rose from the dead 3 days later and is seated at the right hand of The Father. He has left us with the third part of God (3 parts one person) the Holy Spirit that lives in us and gives us power over the enemy. There’s a free gift of salvation available to every one and the Bible says if you call upon the name of the Lord, you shall be saved, but I’ve come to learn that after that there’s a relationship with Christ and a transformation that takes place. I’m thankful that you asked this question, because I know at least one person will give their life to Christ while reading this!
