Hi Josh, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Josh, a former Air Force member, and my wife Katie is a 5th-grade teacher. We were ready for a new adventure when we decided to open On the Go Coffee Co!
Both of us grew up in families where coffee was more than just a drink—it was a tradition that brought people together. That’s what inspired us to create a welcoming space for our family and community to enjoy too.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Running a small business definitely comes with its challenges. For us, it’s been about finding the right ways to introduce people to our shop and building the kind of experience that makes them want to come back. There’s always something new to learn, but with a great team by our side, we’ve been able to grow and keep moving forward.
We’ve been impressed with On The Go Coffee Co. , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
On the Go Coffee Co is our little blue trailer here in Temple, Texas. We wanted to create a spot where people can grab their morning coffee, meet up with a friend, or take a quick break during the day. Our menu has the classics you love, plus seasonal specials to keep things exciting. We also serve baked goods from local favorites, which makes sharing them with our community even better. At the end of the day, it’s not just about coffee—it’s about making our little trailer a place where everyone feels welcome.
And to make Mondays a little brighter, we offer a Happy Hour special every week—50% off all drinks from 1–3 PM.
Any big plans?
One of our current projects and goals for the future is expanding into catering with a mobile coffee cart. We’re excited about the idea of bringing On the Go Coffee Co to events around Temple and surrounding areas, so more people can enjoy our coffee and treats wherever they are. It’s a fun way to grow our business while staying true to our mission of creating connections through great coffee. Additionally, we want to keep growing our business so that more customers will try On The Go Coffee Co. and potentially make it their new regular spot to grab coffee!
