Today we’d like to introduce you to Anton Rybakov.
Hi Anton , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey has always been about performance, resilience, and impact. I began as a breakdancer, competing for many years, which taught me discipline, creativity, and how to command a stage. Those lessons carried into my entrepreneurial path when I founded Fun Characters, a company dedicated to bringing joy and unforgettable memories to families across multiple cities.
Four months ago, I lost my younger brother in a tragic accident. That moment could have broken me — but instead, it gave me a new mission. I created a philosophy I call the “F’d Up Mind” — the idea that our deepest struggles can be flipped into power. His passing has pushed me to share my story more openly and to use my voice as a motivational speaker, helping others transform pain into growth.
Today, I balance my role as CEO of Fun Characters with my passion for speaking, teaching that just like the body, the mind can be trained — and our hardest battles can become the source of our greatest strength.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been anything but smooth. Building Fun Characters from the ground up required countless hours of trial and error, learning how to manage employees, and earning the trust of clients while growing in multiple cities. Like many entrepreneurs, I faced setbacks, doubters, and the challenges of running a business without a roadmap.
The most profound challenge came just four months ago when I lost my younger brother in a tragic accident. That loss shook me to my core. But instead of letting it break me, I chose to honor him by pushing forward even harder—both with my company and with my motivational speaking. His passing reminded me why life is too short not to chase your purpose.
Even in my personal journey, as a breakdancer for many years, I faced injuries, failures, and moments of wanting to quit. But each of those struggles taught me resilience and the ability to turn pain into power.
Every obstacle I’ve faced—whether in business, personal loss, or performance—has shaped me into who I am today: a leader who refuses to give up, and someone committed to helping others see that their greatest struggles can become the source of their greatest strength.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Fun Characters is a premier entertainment company I founded to bring joy, imagination, and unforgettable memories to families, children, and communities. We specialize in professional costumed character appearances, party experiences, and engaging activities that transform ordinary events into magical moments. What sets us apart is our commitment to not only delivering top-tier entertainment but also to creating genuine emotional impact for every family we serve.
Beyond Fun Characters, I’m also the founder of FD Mind, a motivational speaking and personal development platform built on the principle of transforming life’s darkest struggles into power. My work as a speaker allows me to connect with audiences on topics like resilience, mental health, and growth, sharing my journey of turning pain into purpose.
My background as a competitive breakdancer taught me discipline, creativity, and the power of performance—skills I now bring into both my company and my speaking engagements. My proudest achievement brand-wise is growing Fun Characters from a small local service into a multi-city operation while using my voice and story to inspire others worldwide.
At its core, my work—whether through Fun Characters or motivational speaking—is about empowerment: helping families experience joy and helping individuals realize they can flip even the toughest challenges into strength.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over the next 5–10 years, I see tremendous growth and transformation in the industries I’m a part of—both family entertainment and personal development. With Fun Characters, the demand for immersive, high-quality experiences for children and families continues to rise. Parents are no longer just booking entertainment; they are looking for lasting memories, creativity, and professionalism. I believe the industry will see greater emphasis on technology integration, scalability, and branding—turning what was once seen as “small party entertainment” into full-scale experiential businesses that can reach corporate events, hospitals, schools, and global platforms.
At the same time, the motivational speaking industry is also shifting. Audiences no longer want generic inspiration; they want raw authenticity and actionable tools. My mission with FD Mind is to meet that need—transforming struggles, trauma, and the “f’d up mind” into true power. Over the next decade, I see the demand for mental resilience, entrepreneurship guidance, and legacy-driven leadership only increasing.
My vision is to build bridges between these worlds: creating joy and hope for children through Fun Characters, while empowering adults through speaking, writing, and mentorship. Both industries share the same core: helping people believe in possibility, even when the odds are stacked against them.
