Good morning Desiree, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m chasing my dreams and ideas because they give me purpose. Everyday I work to solve problems, meet needs, and create value through supply and demand. If i stopped, the world would go on, but mine would dim. I’d feel empty, because I see myself as a machine built for purpose: to create, and to provide for others. That’s what keeps me alive and moving forward.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Desiree Macdonald, and I’ve built my life and brand around chasing ideas and turning them into purposeful action. At the heart of everything I do is problem-solving-finding ways to meet people’s needs, create value, and deliver solutions that truly make a difference. I believe business is more than transactions; it’s about connection, service, and building trust through consistency.

What makes my brand unique is the mindset behind it. I approach my work with the discipline of a machine but the vision of a dreamer. Every project I take on is rooted in supply and demand — understanding what people want and finding innovative, reliable ways to deliver it. My drive comes from knowing that I serve a purpose: to provide, to create, and to make an impact in the lives of others.

Currently, I’m focused on buying more inventory in bulk quantities so I can give my clients better deals, while also perfecting my skill in window tinting to offer even greater value. At the same time, I’m actively searching for more skilled window tint technicians to join me, so I can continue to expanding my services while keeping quality at the highest standard. With the bigger picture in mind, I’m continuing to grow a brand people can depend on. To me, success isn’t just about growth — it’s about building something sustainable and meaningful that leaves people better off than before they found me!

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mom saw what i was capable of before I did. She taught me to take risk, never be scared, and to make sure my hard work always had something to show for it. Her guidance gave me the courage to chase opportunities and the reminder to enjoy the reward along the way.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me what success alone could never — resilience, patience, and the ability to keep moving forward even when the odds are against me. My mom always told me to take risks and never be afraid, and those words carried me through some of my hardest times. Struggle showed me that purpose is built in the moments when you want to give up but don’t. it taught me how to appreciate every small win, how to turn my pain into fuel, and how tot build with meaning instead of just chasing profit. Without those hardships, I wouldn’t value the work I do today or the people I serve through my brand. Success rewards you, but suffering shapes you — and it’s in those tough moments that I became the person capable of chasing my vision.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The project I’m committed to, no matter how long it takes, is building the biggest shop in Austin, Texas. My vision is to create a one-stop destination that offers:
Suspension work — such as: drop kits, leveling kits, lift kits, tires, wheels, wheel repair, and window tint — all at affordable pricing with same-day installs. A key part of this commitment is keeping a large inventory in stock, so clients never have to wait and can always count on us for options and availability.

Beyond the work itself, I want to create an experience for my clients. That means designing a waiting area that isn’t bland or boring, but a space they can actually enjoy — complete with things like an arcade room, a coffee shop, and other features that make their time with us comfortable and memorable. My mission is to grow into the go-to shop in Austin, where quality, service, and trust set us apart.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I understand deeply that most people don’t is that time is money — but not in the cliche way people say it. I work hard for what i earn, and when i spend money, it’s not just about the material thing. It’s about the thought, the effort, and the value of the time and energy I put in to make it. When I spend on someone, it’s meaningful because it represents more than dollars — it represents sacrifice and dedication. And that’s something I feel like most people don’t understand.
