Hi G, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
One thing I’ve learned about my consumers is that they love my voice also my style of mixing a old school style of rap with new school styles of rap and beats. It’s also shocking to learn how they love my live performances whether it’s me playing piano rapping with my band or rapping with a DJ.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am G.OZZY. I am a versatile artist. I write my own music. I play piano thanks to my deceased late Uncle Garland who passed in 2004. I also learn to play other instruments over time. I was born in Montgomery Alabama and raised in Mobile, Alabama. Shout out my fam Mama and Pop for keeping music in my life. I am also CEO of my label Wrekoncile Records LLC. RIP WavyBoy who was murdered Oct 9 a week before his bday. This label was created in honor of him. I have a Album I released earlier this year 2025 called “ Money Talk” out on all Platforms. Featuring songs like “Know Me” beat produced by 808Blokk NBA YB Beat Maker “Get A Bag” “Money Talk” and more. Also New Singles out beat produced by Mobile Alabama own Producer LHVMusic “P Music”. I’ve had the chance of opening up for Erica Banks at the We on da Corner Mic Drop held at SXSW in Austin Tx, where I reside now. Also opened up for her and Fredo Bang at the Fat Gator Lake Weekend. I had stars open up for me like Durrough Music and Big Jada which was a honor. Releasing soon will be my new music video for “Money Talk” “ Know Me” “Pablo Chapo” Ft Play Jones, “Danny Phantom”. New Singles Like “Talk That” Ft Bianca Clarke Queen B, “What I Do”
& “Can’t Go For That” coming soon.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
It’s a lot of relationships that I had growing up that shaped me. A lot of death and loss really. Dealing with death, pain and not seeing those people that believed in you can slow you down. I’ve been seeing death since I was 5 or 6 when my baby brother Malcolm passed away. After that my Grandad, then my madea, my uncle Pete, my uncle Garland, my friend Petey Franklin then I lost another friend Wavyboy, then Duke and his brother Semaj Wap, then I lost my Uncle Grady, then my Aunt Tele, then my Auntie Odell. Then this year 2025 I lost my first girlfriend and first love Jasmin Moore. So all this death I been seeing since 5 shaped me to be determined to succeed like they wanted me too. To keep pushing forward and understand that it’s no time to rest when you on a mission. You can rest when you’re dead. I will reach my goals and dreams because I have a lot of family and friends who aren’t here anymore in the physical watching me but they are helping in the spiritual. And to the ones alive like my mother father brother sister and friend homies and homegirls. Yal keep me going to and that’s big facts.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There were a lot of times I wanted to quit like when no one is listening like you would want to. That just says to me though that I need to promote and market more. Spend more money in the areas where my crowd is. I almost gave up every time I lost someone close to me. That’s never easy so I mean I’m sure we all have times we want to give in but we can’t. I believe in a Higher power within myself so I can’t be defeated.

Yes I am who I am 24/7. There is no alter ego to G.OZZY. I am who I am I be who I be.

I do not live with regrets. No one should. Regret is saying you haven’t forgiven yourself. If God can forgive you you should be able to forgive yourself. Regret nothing and take everything as a lesson and do better.
