Story & Lesson Highlights with Trevor (Tre) North of South Austin

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Trevor (Tre) North. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Trevor (Tre), thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are quiet, intentional, and centered. Before I open my phone or jump into tasks, I start with prayer and a moment of gratitude – just acknowledging God for another day and asking Him to steady my mind. I’ve learned that how I begin my morning sets the tone for everything that follows, so I try to give myself space before the worlds starts pulling on me.

After that, I usually take a few minutes to think through what I need to accomplish for the day – whether that’s content creation, writing, ministry responsibilities, or personal projects. I’m a person whose creativity wakes up early, so those moments help me organize my thoughts and hear from God clearly. It’s the one part of my day where everything slows down, and I’m able to reset, breathe, and move with purpose.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Trevor North, but most people first got to know me through “The Next 15 Podcast Show”. That is where my journey in storytelling, humor, and real conversation really took off. At the time of my first Voyage interview, I was a podcaster and voiceover artist creating content, narrating stories, and using my voice to connect with people in a meaningful way.

Fast-forward to now, my brand has evolved into something much deeper. In April of this year, I launched “FaithwithTre”, a faith-based platform on TikTok where I share encouraging voiceovers, spiritual insights, and short-form content designed to help people navigate real life through the lens of faith. What makes this new chapter unique is that it’s rooted in lived experience – seasons of rebuilding, financial recovery, spiritual growth, and rediscovering purpose. My content resonates because I speak from places I’ve actually walked through.

I’m also the founder of ElevateEducate Studio, where I’m expanding my creativity into digital products, coaching tools, and faith-centered resources. Right now, I’m preparing to release my new eBook, “From Debt to Destiny”, which blends biblical principles, financial wisdom, and personal testimony to help people rebuild their credit and restore financial integrity.

From podcasting to ministry leadership to content creation, everything I’m building today shares one mission: helping people grow through what they’re going through. That’s the heartbeat behind “FaithwithTre”, ElevateEducate Studio, The Next 15 Podcast Show, and everything God is calling me to in this season.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I’ve learned that what breaks the bonds between people is often unspoken pain – the things we go through but never talk about. Hurt, disappointment, pride, misunderstandings, lack of communication, and unmet expectations all create quiet distance long before anyone ever admits something is wrong. In my early life and throughout my journey, I saw firsthand how easy it is for relationships to erode not because people stop caring, but because people stop communicating. Sometimes we shut down, sometimes we assume the worst, and sometimes we simply grow in different directions without realizing it.

But I also believe restoration is always possible when grace enters the equation. Bonds are restored through honest conversation, humility, forgiveness, and an openness to understand where someone else is coming from. I’ve seen relationships come back stronger when both sides decide to be transparent, when they choose healing over ego, and when they let God soften their hearts. Love restores. Accountability restores. Patience restores. And choosing to see the best in someone – even after the worst moments – has a way of rebuilding things that felt impossible to repair.

In my content and in my life, I try to speak to that place; the space between brokenness and restoration. I’ve lived on both sides of that line, and I am a firm believer that with honesty, grace and intention, relationships can heal and people can reconnect in ways that are healthier than ever.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me things that success never had the capacity to, Success can show you what you’re capable of, but suffering shows you who you really are. It reveals your foundation – what you stand on, what you believe, and what you turn to when everything familiar falls apart. In my own journey, suffering stripped away distractions and forced me to confront myself in ways success never required.

During the hardest seasons – financial setbacks, health challenges, loss, disappointment, and times where my life felt like it was in transition – suffering taught me dependence. Not on people, not on systems, but on God. It taught me that faith isn’t built in comfort; it’s built in pressure. It taught me that character doesn’t grow when everything is working, but when nothing seems to be. Suffering shaped my discernment, deepened my empathy, and stretched my capacity to understand what other people are carrying. You can’t fake that kind of growth.

Most importantly, suffering taught me resilience. Not the “push through it” kind, but the quiet resilience that comes from learning how to bend without breaking. It taught me how to rebuild with intention, how to let go of things that no longer serve my purpose, and to embrace seasons of pruning without losing hope. Success celebrates you, but suffering changes you. And the change is what prepares you for the next level. Looking back, I can say that the man I am today isn’t a product of my successes. He’s a product of what I survived.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to helping people grow into the healthiest version of themselves, spiritually and financially no matter how long it takes. “FaithwithTre” may be new, but the mission behind it isn’t. My goal is to create content, tools, and resources that help people rebuild their lives with faith and integrity. Whether it’s through my eBook “From Debt to Destiny”, digital projects, or daily messages, I am committed to the long work of transformation. This isn’t just a project, it’s a calling.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
If I laid down my name, my role, and everything I own, what would remain is my heart. The way I treated people, the way I made them feel, and the impact my faith had on their lives. Titles fade and possessions come and go, but character is what survives you. I want the part of me that remains to be the part that pointed people toward hope, encouragement, and God’s grace. I want people to remember the love, the integrity, and the consistency, not the position I held. That, to me, is legacy.
