Community Highlights: Meet Breana Dutton of Cloud&Co. Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Breana Dutton.

Hi Breana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Cloud & Co. Marketing really started pretty organically, but if I trace it back to the very beginning, it started when I was working as an esthetician at a medical spa. At the time, I was struggling with my own skin issues, specifically acne that honestly felt like a complete mystery. I had seen seven different dermatologists and still wasn’t getting answers, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I began documenting my skin journey on social media, sharing what I was learning along the way. At the same time, I started helping manage and contribute to the medical spa’s social platforms, posting treatments, education, and real client experiences.

As I continued sharing online, I realized how powerful storytelling and authenticity were when it came to connecting with people. I also started documenting other parts of my personal journey, including transitioning from a decade long ballet career into weightlifting and strength training. Those experiences really shaped how I approached content and marketing. It was never just about posting for the sake of posting. It was about building trust, sharing real experiences, and creating a genuine connection with an audience.

As I went on to work with other medical aesthetic establishments, I naturally kept bringing that marketing mindset with me. At each place I worked, I found myself helping improve their social presence, creating stronger content, and helping them connect more meaningfully with their audience. Over time, I kept noticing the same pattern. So many businesses were investing in marketing, but they weren’t receiving the strategy, communication, or results they truly deserved.

What started as helping a few businesses on the side eventually grew through referrals and word of mouth. Before I knew it, more companies were reaching out for marketing support, and that’s when I realized there was something much bigger there. Around that same time, I was also standing at a pretty big crossroads in my life. It had always been a lifelong goal of mine to move to Texas from my small hometown in Northern California, but it always felt like a distant dream.

Eventually, I decided to take a leap of faith. I packed up, moved to Austin, and went all in on both my faith and Cloud & Co. It was one of those moments where I pushed myself to do something I truly didn’t think I would ever have the courage to do. Building a company in a new city while trusting the process was both challenging and incredibly rewarding.

I vividly remember when the heart of the company really clicked for me. I was designing the very first Cloud & Co. marketing materials and building the website, and the phrase just came to mind so clearly. After seeing so many businesses firsthand get hurt by overpriced, under-delivered marketing agencies, I knew I wanted to build something different. That’s when our motto was born: “Blessing businesses to be a blessing to others.”

That idea has really guided everything we do. My goal has always been to pour that mindset into every client we work with. When a business grows, it impacts their employees, their families, and their communities. Marketing should support that kind of growth, not take advantage of it.

Looking back, it’s amazing to see how something that started from my own personal journey has grown into something that now helps other businesses tell their stories, reach more people, and grow with intention. That’s what continues to drive Cloud & Co. today.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting Cloud & Co. Marketing definitely came with its share of obstacles, and I think one of the biggest things I realized early on is that not many people talk about the real steps it takes to safely and responsibly start a business. Entrepreneurship has become a very trending lifestyle online, but the reality is that it takes a unique amount of courage, discipline, and dedication that you really don’t understand until you’re in it.

Unlike a typical nine to five where you can clock out and mentally disconnect at the end of the day, owning a business means you’re thinking about it constantly. Your work, your clients, your strategy, your growth. It truly becomes a 24 hour mindset. But honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. There is something incredibly fulfilling about building something from the ground up and learning every step of how a business operates along the way.

Another challenge is that when you decide to go all in, there really isn’t a safety net in the traditional sense. The struggles and pressure of building a business can either make you stronger or push you back toward a more traditional corporate path. It forces you to grow quickly, develop resilience, and learn how to navigate uncertainty with confidence.

It also develops you in ways you don’t necessarily expect. As the business grows and you begin working with team members and clients who rely on you, there’s a deeper level of accountability that naturally comes with that. People are looking to you for guidance, answers, and leadership. That responsibility has pushed me to become more disciplined, more strategic, and more intentional in everything I do.

Looking back, those challenges have honestly been some of the most rewarding parts of the journey. They’ve shaped not just the business, but who I’ve grown into as a leader and entrepreneur.

We’ve been impressed with Cloud&Co. Marketing, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Cloud & Co. Marketing is a strategy driven marketing company that focuses on helping businesses grow through intentional, well executed digital presence. We primarily specialize in social media marketing, offering both organic content strategy and strategically designed surge campaigns through paid advertising. Our goal is not simply to post content, but to create marketing that actually drives visibility, engagement, and measurable growth for the businesses we work with.

One of the biggest things we’ve learned over the years is that every single piece of content needs to be intentional, even if it appears simple on the surface. Successful marketing requires balance. It means taking the time to truly understand each client’s industry, researching what is trending within their niche, studying their audience, and tailoring every post, campaign, and design decision around those insights. When strategy leads the creative process, content performs far better and brands are able to connect with their audiences in a much more meaningful way.

Something that really sets us apart is the way we approach advertising. A lot of agencies will jump straight into running paid ads without building any real foundation for the account. They might launch several ads quickly, but without a strong organic presence and consistent messaging behind it, that investment often doesn’t perform the way it should. At Cloud & Co., we take a different approach. We make sure a client’s social platforms are established with a strong organic feed and consistent content before running larger ad campaigns. That way, when ads bring new eyes to the page, those visitors see a polished, credible brand presence that supports the investment being made.

Another thing that truly sets Cloud & Co. apart is the level of intentionality and detail that goes into everything we create. Whether we are designing a website, managing social media, developing advertising campaigns, or creating new service menus and marketing materials for a business, we approach every project with the same level of care and precision. I have always been extremely detail oriented, and that standard carries throughout our entire team. Everyone we bring on is trained with that same mindset because we believe that anything we produce should reflect the highest level of quality.

At the end of the day, we treat our clients’ brands with the same level of respect and intention as our own. We want every post, design, or piece of marketing collateral that leaves our hands to feel polished, thoughtful, and aligned with both our standards and the client’s vision. Brand wise, what I am most proud of is that Cloud & Co. has become known for thoughtful strategy, strong creative direction, and a genuine commitment to helping businesses grow in a way that is both impactful and sustainable.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I have been incredibly blessed to have a strong support system throughout this journey. My family has always been one of my biggest sources of encouragement. Starting a business and going all in on something you’re building from the ground up can feel uncertain at times, and having people who believe in you and support your vision makes a huge difference.

Most importantly, my faith and my relationship with God have truly been the foundation through all of this. My faith didn’t fully develop until I reached a point where I really surrendered to His plan for my life. I know everyone comes from different backgrounds, religions, or spiritual perspectives, but for me I learned that faith is not about following a set of rules to earn love or approval. It is about surrendering to the life experience we have been gifted and trusting that there is purpose within both the good seasons and the difficult ones. Over time I realized that failure only truly exists if we never learn anything from it. Every challenge, every setback, and every season of uncertainty carries lessons that shape who we become. When we feel the urge to control everything, sometimes the greatest growth comes from letting go and allowing life to unfold the way it is meant to.

Someone else who has had a meaningful impact on how I view growth and mindset is Tony Robbins. While I don’t know him personally, I follow his work closely and had the opportunity to attend his Unleash the Power Within event last year in Anaheim. That experience was incredibly transformational for me. One of the things he teaches is that we are all having this human experience, but it is up to each of us to determine the meaning we assign to it. We don’t simply experience life, we experience the life we focus on. Two people can face the exact same situation and walk away with completely different perspectives depending on what they choose to see in it.

His teachings really changed how I approach both the highs and the challenges of building a business. They helped me lean into difficult moments with more resilience, appreciate the joyful moments more deeply, and maintain faith in something greater than ourselves. Between my family’s support, my faith, and the mindset tools I have learned along the way, those influences have played a huge role in shaping both who I am personally and how I lead Cloud & Co. today.
