Today we’d like to introduce you to Rumill.
Hi Rumill, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my content journey back in 2016, originally just sharing my natural hair journey and documenting what worked for me. At the time, it was more of a creative outlet than anything else. Over the years, I stayed consistent, but it wasn’t until 2022 that everything really shifted for me.
After one of my videos went viral, I began to see the true potential of content creation not just as a way to inspire and connect with others, but also as a real business opportunity. That moment pushed me to take things more seriously, refine my content, and start building intentional relationships with brands.
Since then, I’ve grown into a full-time content creator focused on beauty, hair, and lifestyle, combining authenticity with strategy to create content that resonates and converts.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Overall, it’s been a pretty smooth journey, but it’s definitely had its ups and downs. After going viral in 2022, I had to learn how to turn that momentum into long term growth and stay consistent. I also had to navigate the business side, like setting my rates and building brand relationships, which took some trial and error.
Those experiences helped me become more strategic and confident in my work.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a beauty, hair, and lifestyle content creator specializing in beginner-friendly wigs, crochet styles, protective styling, and natural hair, along with relatable cleaning and lifestyle content.
I’m known for my honest, detailed approach and creating content my audience trusts.
I’m most proud of turning my passion into a full-time career and building an engaged community, and what sets me apart is my ability to blend authenticity with strategy to deliver real results for brands.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I’d say I’ve always been pretty creative and detail oriented. Growing up, I loved anything beauty related and enjoyed doing hair, trying new styles, and figuring things out on my own.
Personality wise, I was more on the quiet side but very observant. I’ve always paid attention to the little details, which naturally carried over into the way I create content today.
I’ve always had a passion for expressing myself creatively, I just didn’t realize early on that it would turn into a career.
