Conversations with Minnie Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Minnie Jackson.

Hi Minnie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey began with a passion for creativity and helping people show up confidently in their brand and personal image. With a strong background in customer service, administration, sales, and leadership, I learned early on how important connection, trust, and presentation are in business.

That understanding led me to build my photography and videography business, where I help entrepreneurs, couples/individuals, realtors, and companies elevate their brand through bold visuals, strategic video content, and strong visual storytelling. What started as a love for capturing moments grew into a business focused on helping people and brands stand out and create a lasting impression.

Over time, my passion became bigger than just taking photos or videos—it became about helping people feel seen, recognized, and confident in what they bring to the world. Today, I continue to grow my business with the goal of creating meaningful content that helps brands get seen, remembered, and respected.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, my journey has come with challenges, uncertainty, and moments of having to rebuild and refocus. Building a business takes patience, consistency, and a lot of faith, especially when you’re trying to create something meaningful from the ground up.

There were times when I had to learn hard lessons about business, boundaries, and trusting the process. But every obstacle helped shape me into a stronger business owner and gave me a clearer vision for where I’m going. I’ve learned that success isn’t always about speed—it’s about staying committed, adapting, and continuing to move forward even when the path isn’t easy.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I run a production company that serves as a one-stop shop for professional photography, cinematic videography, and creative content. I specialize in couples photography, branding sessions, headshots, and short-form content that helps both individuals and businesses capture meaningful moments and strong visual presence.

I’m known for my professionalism, consistency, and the overall experience I provide for my clients. People trust me not just for quality work, but because they know I value clear communication, reliability, and making the process feel comfortable and seamless from start to finish.

What I’m most proud of is my customer service, fast turnaround time, and client satisfaction. I believe great work should come with a great experience, and I take pride in making sure my clients feel valued, heard, and confident in choosing me.

What sets me apart is my attention to detail and the fact that I genuinely care about the people I work with. I don’t believe in just delivering content, I believe in creating an experience and results that leave a lasting impression.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
One of the biggest things that has worked for me is staying genuinely motivated by my craft and being willing to do whatever it takes to grow. I’ve learned that finding a mentor and building strong connections starts with showing real interest, being consistent, and not being afraid to ask questions or put yourself in rooms where growth can happen.

Networking isn’t just about collecting contacts—it’s about building real relationships. I’ve found that being authentic, staying professional, and leading with value goes a long way. Whether it’s through social media, local events, or simply reaching out to people you admire, consistency and confidence matter.

My advice would be to stay teachable, stay visible, and don’t let fear stop you from introducing yourself or asking for guidance. Sometimes the right opportunity comes from simply being bold enough to start the conversation.
