Check Out Lee Ann Grohman’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Ann Grohman.

Hi Lee Ann, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up.in a small very active community, Rockne Texas. I graduated from Bastrop high school, where I participated in a cosmetology program my junior and senior years. I was able to get all the hours in that are state required to get my cosmetology license before I even graduated. I was already working as a receptionist in a salon, where I was immediately welcomed to work. The owner gave me inspiration, knowledge and support for 16 years. At that time I was about to marry the love of my life, my very supportive husband. He encouraged me to open my own business, mainly for more flexibility. We purchased a building in Rockne that was originally built as a barber shop in 1970. We remodeled, put in parking, in January of 2006 i opened my own business. It was very scary and way out of my comfort zone! But the best thing I had ever done. It has been a wonderful journey. I still have clients that I have worked for over 30+years and get to meet new clients often. They travel to see me for which I am honored. I have expanded my business to a boutique in the last few years. I provide services such as haircuts, hair color which is my specialty, curl enhancements, anything to do with hair! I love my job and am very blessed to have a very full schedule. I also sell a variety of hair products, local tallow and perfumes, clothing, purses, jewelry and even some charcuterie boards which are made locally. I also provide lots of information about the area to anyone who needs it or will listen. I am celebrating 20 years of business this year!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The things I feel have been my greatest challenges are the big box stores and some social media. People love to watch videos and think that it is all real and their hair will do the same. This is usually not true. When they realize that it is good for me. I can help them to understand how wonderful their hair can be. I have had the same experience when clients are buying products.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I look forward to seeing what my day will bring. Everyday is a new experience. I always look forward to building new relationships.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
