Hi Heather, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We like to describe MainStreet Mercantile as a little piece of heaven with a wild streak. We started with a dream to bring a fabulous and unique gift selection to are small town and rural community. We have trendy clothing, home decor, accessories and so much more. We are a destination worth the trip.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like any small business, it has had it’s ups and downs. Covid was a test since we had to be closed for 3 months but our community went above and beyond to support us. Recently the economy has had an impact on our shoppers which in turn has impacted us.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We specialize in personal customer service. We are most proud of our relationships with our customers that have turned into friends. We like to say that we don’t just decorate, we celebrate. I also make handmade wreaths.
