Hi Steven, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved fashion not just the clothes themselves, but the entire process of getting dressed, shopping, and putting outfits together. Whether it was planning my outfit for the first day of school, finding the right look for a weekend party, or dressing up for church with my family on Sundays, I always wanted to be the best-dressed person in the room.
As I got older, that passion never changed. Friends, family, and even people around me naturally started coming to me for fashion advice, outfit ideas, and styling help. Over time, I realized this wasn’t just a hobby, it was something that genuinely came natural to me. Turning it into a business felt like the next step, and that’s what led me to build my brand and pursue styling professionally
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been turning something I naturally loved into an actual business. It’s one thing to have a passion for fashion and styling, but it’s another thing to build a brand, grow an audience, market yourself consistently, and get people to truly see the value in what you offer.
There were also moments of self-doubt and times where growth felt slow, especially in the beginning. Social media can make it seem like success happens overnight, but in reality it takes consistency, patience, and a lot of trial and error. I’ve had to learn how to stay confident in my vision, continue improving my craft, and keep showing up even when things weren’t moving as fast as I wanted them to.
At the same time, those challenges helped shape me. They taught me discipline, resilience, and how to turn my passion into something bigger than just personal style into a brand and business that can genuinely impact people’s confidence and self-expression.

I’m a personal stylist, personal shopper, and content creator. I specialize in personal shopping, outfit curation, event styling, closet edits, and complete wardrobe revamps. My goal is to help people feel more confident through the way they present themselves and create looks that reflect their personality and lifestyle.
One of the things I’m most proud of is taking the leap of faith to start my company, The Freshest Brick. Turning something I’ve loved my entire life into a real business was a big step for me, and it’s been rewarding to see it continue to grow.
I think what sets me apart is my eye for detail and my willingness to take risks creatively. I’m not afraid to experiment with colors, textures, proportions, and patterns that may not always be considered conventional. I also pride myself on versatility being able to style men, women, and kids while still making each look feel unique, elevated, and authentic to the individual.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t really see it as luck, whether good or bad. I believe in God and that everything happens according to His will and timing.
Even the moments that felt like setbacks or challenges at the time have ended up shaping me, redirecting me, or building my character in ways I didn’t fully understand in the moment. And the opportunities I’ve had I see as blessings and guidance rather than chance.
So for me, it’s less about luck and more about trusting that I’m on a path that’s already been set, even when I don’t fully see where it’s leading
