Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Robertson.
Hi Rebecca, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started with Lake Travis Zipline Adventures in 2015 as both a tour guide and customer service representative. From the very beginning, I fell in love with the company and the environment we created for guests. Every single day, people were walking through our doors excited and celebrating something meaningful in their lives including birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, honeymoons, bucket list adventures, dates, family vacations, or even conquering lifelong fears of heights.
What really stood out to me was getting to be part of those moments with them. You are not just sending people down a zipline. You are helping create memories they will talk about for years. Watching someone arrive nervous and leave feeling confident and accomplished is incredibly rewarding.
As the years went on, I worked my way up through the company and gained experience in multiple areas of the business. That hands-on experience gave me a deep appreciation for every role that contributes to creating an incredible guest experience. From guiding tours to working directly with guests in customer service and eventually stepping into leadership, every position taught me something valuable.
Today, it is incredibly meaningful to still be part of a company that brings so much joy, adventure, and connection to people from all over the world. Lake Travis Zipline Adventures has become much more than just a workplace to me. It is a place built around creating lifelong memories and helping people step outside of their comfort zones in the best way possible.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Overall, it has been a relatively smooth road, but like any business, we have faced challenges along the way. One of the biggest challenges was navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. Because we are an outdoor adventure activity, we were fortunate to be able to remain open and provide people with an opportunity to safely get outside and escape during such a difficult time.
That being said, figuring out how to operate safely during the pandemic was both challenging and rewarding. We had to adapt quickly, implement new safety procedures, and find ways to continue creating an incredible guest experience while making health and safety a top priority. During a time when so many people felt isolated and stressed, it was rewarding to provide an environment where families, friends, and couples could reconnect, enjoy nature, and make positive memories together.
Like many businesses, we have continued to learn, adapt, and grow through challenges, and I think those experiences have made our team and company even stronger.

Lake Travis Zipline Adventures is an outdoor adventure company located on Lake Travis in the Texas Hill Country. We are best known for offering the longest and fastest ziplines in Texas, including our famous Double Barrel Shotgun zipline, which stretches over 2,800 feet across Lake Travis. Our signature 5-Line Adventure includes five different ziplines, scenic hiking trails through the Texas Hill Country, and a boat ride to and from our private Zip Island. We also offer Night Tours and a Single Line experience for guests looking for different types of adventures.
What truly sets us apart is the overall experience. From the moment guests arrive, our goal is to create an “Adventure of a Lifetime.” It is not just about the ziplining itself. It is about the energy, the people, the views, and the memories made throughout the experience. Our guides are highly trained, passionate about what they do, and focused on making every guest feel safe, comfortable, and excited. We often hear from guests that the staff and atmosphere are what make the experience unforgettable.
One thing I am especially proud of is the culture we have built around creating joy and connection. Every day we get to be part of huge life moments for people including proposals, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, vacations, and people conquering fears they never thought they could overcome. Being able to provide an experience that leaves people more confident, excited, and connected is something really special.
We are also proud of the way we give back to our community. Through our LTZAGives program, we partner with the Alzheimer’s Association and host monthly charity tours where proceeds are donated directly to the organization. We also donate thousands of dollars in zipline experiences to Texas nonprofit organizations each year for silent auctions and fundraising efforts. Giving back is a huge part of who we are as a company.

It is a place where people come to step outside of their comfort zones, experience the beauty of the Texas Hill Country, and create lifelong memories with the people around them.
Any big plans?
As a company, we are always looking for ways to improve, evolve, and create an even better experience for our guests. One of the things we are most excited about this year is continuing to enhance guest comfort and overall experience on the course. We recently installed additional fans and misting systems throughout the property to help guests “Beat the Heat” during the Texas summer while still being able to enjoy the outdoors and adventure.
We are also looking forward to introducing new events and experiences that bring people together in unique ways. One example is a planned Singles Night event that combines our zipline adventure with opportunities for people to connect, socialize, and enjoy nature together in a fun and relaxed environment. We love finding creative ways to make the experience more than just ziplining.
As we continue to grow, our biggest focus is staying innovative while maintaining the personal, welcoming atmosphere that people know us for. Whether that is through new events, upgraded guest experiences, community involvement, or future additions to the property, we always have something new up our sleeve and are constantly looking for ways to make Lake Travis Zipline Adventures even more memorable.
