Today we’d like to introduce you to Zayan Beg.
Hi Zayan , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m currently studying Economics and Finance in England, and alongside university I’ve been building PlantRx, a natural wellness platform that started from a personal curiosity and gradually became something much bigger.
The idea first came to me after experiencing challenges like brain fog, migraines, poor routine and weight management. My family introduced me to natural remedies, but I realised I was taking them without really understanding why they worked or how to know whether they were actually suitable for me. As I researched further, I noticed there was no single place that combined evidence, safety and clear explanations in a way that people could genuinely rely on.
For a long time, PlantRx existed only as an idea in my notes while I researched the industry, studied competitors and looked for gaps that hadn’t been solved. University also played a big role in shaping the business. I was able to use PlantRx in presentations, projects and surveys, which gave me valuable feedback and helped confirm that people wanted trustworthy, easy to understand natural wellness information.
In 2025, I decided to stop treating it as an idea and commit to building it. I registered the company in the UK, worked with herbalists to review remedy information, learned new skills every day and brought in specialists whenever I reached the limits of my own knowledge. That process taught me that building a business isn’t about knowing everything from the start. It’s about being willing to keep learning and improving.
Today, PlantRx has grown into an ecosystem built around four connected tools: Remy, the Remedy Library, the Custom Remedy Builder and the Wellness Blueprint. They all work through one shared intelligence system called the PlantRx Brain, allowing every part of the platform to provide consistent, personalised guidance while keeping evidence and safety at the centre.
Although the platform continues to evolve, my goal has remained the same from the beginning. I want PlantRx to become a place where people don’t just find more information, but leave with a better understanding of their health and the confidence to make informed decisions. For me, building the business has never been about creating another wellness brand. It’s about building something that earns people’s trust by putting education, responsibility and long term thinking first.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s true for most businesses worth building. Every stage of PlantRx has introduced a different challenge, and each one has forced me to improve as both a founder and a person.
One of the biggest challenges was balancing university while building a company. There were times when it felt like I was studying during the day and building PlantRx every other available hour. It wasn’t always easy, but it taught me the importance of discipline, routine and making consistent progress, even when the results weren’t immediately visible.
Another challenge was realising that building a trustworthy wellness platform is far more complex than building a good looking website. Early on, I could have continued adding more remedies and features, but I realised that wouldn’t solve the real problem. People don’t just need more information, they need information they can trust. That led me to slow down and invest in the underlying knowledge system that powers PlantRx. It wasn’t the quickest decision, but I believe it was the right one.
I’ve also had to accept that I can’t know everything. Building PlantRx has meant constantly learning new skills, asking for help when needed and working with specialists in areas where they have far more expertise than I do. That mindset has made both the business and me stronger.
Looking back, I don’t see the challenges as setbacks. I see them as the reason PlantRx has evolved the way it has. Every obstacle has forced me to ask better questions, make better decisions and build something with a stronger foundation than I originally imagined.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
PlantRx exists to make natural wellness more understandable, more personalised and, above all, more trustworthy.
Today, people have access to more health information than ever before, but that doesn’t necessarily make it easier to make informed decisions. The internet is full of conflicting advice, and AI has made it possible to generate convincing health content in seconds. The challenge isn’t finding information anymore, it’s knowing what you can trust.
That’s the problem PlantRx was created to solve.
Rather than building another wellness website or simply selling supplements, PlantRx has been designed as an ecosystem of four connected tools powered by one shared intelligence system called the PlantRx Brain. The ecosystem includes Remy, a conversational wellness assistant, the Remedy Library, the Custom Remedy Builder and the Wellness Blueprint. Because every tool draws from the same structured knowledge system, users receive guidance that is consistent, personalised and built around evidence and safety rather than generic recommendations.
What makes PlantRx different is the philosophy behind it. We don’t believe everyone should receive the same answer simply because they have the same symptom. Health is personal, and different people can experience similar concerns for completely different reasons. Our goal is to help people understand what they should consider, why it may help, who it is suitable for and, just as importantly, when something may not be appropriate.
I’m especially proud that we’ve chosen to invest in the foundations before focusing on rapid growth. Instead of prioritising appearances or short term trends, we’ve focused on building a platform centred around education, transparency and long term trust. Those are values that will continue to guide every decision we make as PlantRx grows.
Ultimately, I want PlantRx to become the place people think of when they want clear, responsible and personalised guidance on natural wellness. If someone leaves our platform feeling more informed and more confident about their health than when they arrived, then we’ve achieved what we set out to do.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favourite childhood memories is spending weekends with my older brother. We’d play video games for hours, watch WWE together and always turn even the smallest things into friendly competitions. At the time it was just fun, but looking back those moments taught me a lot about perseverance, problem solving and enjoying the process rather than just the result.
As we’ve grown older, our relationship has evolved. Today he’s a qualified banker, and although we’re in different industries, he’s become someone I often turn to for practical advice, especially around budgeting, financial planning and thinking through business decisions. It’s been rewarding to see how those childhood memories have grown into a relationship where we still support each other, just in different ways.
Looking back, those simple moments are the ones I appreciate most. They remind me that success is built over time, and having people around you who encourage you and challenge you is something I’ll always be grateful for.
