Hidden Gems: Meet Brittany Wolfe of Red Wolfe Creative

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Wolfe.

Hi Brittany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was working as a graphic designer and was laid off in March 2020 when the pandemic hit. I used my newfound free time to explore my interest in woodworking. Building furniture for myself and friends quickly turned into building cabinets and I was asked by a few contractors that I knew to do some projects with them. My work spread by word of mouth and I quickly found myself designing and installing storage solutions and specialty pieces for clients and contractors. In 2025, this naturally progressed into working on larger home remodels and taking on remodel projects as a general contractor myself.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been plenty of learning curves. Dealing with material cost increases and uncertainties with tariffs was difficult. Ultimately, with this job, you just have to be good at going with the flow.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Red Wolfe Creative?
Red Wolfe Creative is a full-service cabinet design and installation company. Since I create bespoke cabinets, I focus on bringing the client’s vision to life when other companies can’t or won’t provide the product the client is looking for. While I have a style I’m personally drawn to, I love it when a client presents me with a design challenge and asks me to bring their vision to life. I keep the number of jobs I’m working on at any given time as low as possible because I want each client to feel how important their project is to me. I am most satisfied with a project when a client is thrilled by the end product, and it’s exactly what they envisioned and wanted.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Don’t do it haha. But at the same time, if it’s what you really want and are passionate about, go for it. Find mentors and friends who know more than you and are willing to share their knowledge and advice. Get involved with your local community. My business really picked up speed after I started taking classes at the Austin School of Furniture. Not only was I learning new skills, but I was surrounded by like-minded people who encouraged and reinforced what I was doing.
