Today we’d like to introduce you to Logan Pierce.
Hi Logan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started cutting hair in the 10th grade because my friends knew I had a pair of clippers at the house. They’d ask me for cuts every now and then, and at the time I never looked at it as a career. I was just passing the time and happened to enjoy it.
After high school, I made some mistakes that led to me being incarcerated. While I was there, I started cutting hair again, and that’s where I truly fell in love with the barbering.
When I came home at 19, I didn’t have a detailed plan for my future, but I knew barbering was what I wanted to do. I enrolled in barber school and fully committed to it. from early on i looked at it as a career and not a hustle.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It honestly has been pretty smooth. The struggle has been managing life outside of barbering . starting off as a teenager. i went through every stage of adult life while having to stay motivated at the same time. but barbering has always been an outlet for creativity for me.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
as far as what i’m known for is a consistent barber who is as versatile as it gets. There isn’t a style i can’t create or hair texture i’m not comfortable with. Early on i made it a priority to be able to cut anything that could walk through the front door. i didnt want to be the barber turning away haircuts because i didnt think i could handle the style requested
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
you have to be a man of your word and always do good business. word of mouth work make or break you in this business
