Hi Lee, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. Throughout my career, I’ve been drawn to work that helps people grow and move forward. Over the years, I’ve owned businesses in different industries, and each experience has taught me valuable lessons about entrepreneurship, resilience, and relationships.
What I’ve learned is that success isn’t just about what you know. It’s also about who you know and the community you build around yourself. That realization has shaped much of the work I do today.
I’m currently the Director of Ladies Lifestyle Network Austin, where I have the privilege of bringing together women entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, and community leaders through monthly networking events centered on authentic connection and collaboration. Watching women support one another and form relationships that continue beyond our events has been one of the most rewarding experiences.
In addition to my work with Ladies Lifestyle Network Austin, I own a security company and a financial services business. While these businesses serve different needs, they share a common purpose. They help people move forward with confidence and make a lasting impact.
Looking back, my journey hasn’t been a straight line. I’ve experienced challenges, setbacks, and moments when I had to reinvent myself. But each chapter has reinforced the same lesson. When you stay committed, continue learning, and genuinely invest in people, new doors can open.
Today, my mission is simple: to impact more lives, build meaningful relationships, and create opportunities that open new doors.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Entrepreneurship has taught me that growth rarely happens without challenges. I’ve started businesses, changed directions, and had seasons where I questioned whether I was on the right path. There were times when I had to pivot, rebuild, and learn skills I didn’t have when I first started.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that relationships matter. You can have a great idea, but building trust, serving people well, and surrounding yourself with the right community are what create long-term success.
I’ve faced personal challenges that changed my perspective on life. Those experiences reminded me that tomorrow isn’t promised and reinforced the importance of spending my time doing work that genuinely makes a difference.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change the difficult seasons. They taught me resilience, strengthened my faith in the process, and shaped the person and leader I am today.
We’ve been impressed with Ladies Lifestyle Network Austin, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As the Director of Ladies Lifestyle Network Austin, I’m responsible for growing and cultivating the Austin chapter. I organize two networking events each month and work closely with speakers, vendors, sponsors, hostesses, nonprofit partners, and local businesses to create experiences that bring people together.
A large part of my role is marketing. I promote our events, feature local businesses through our social media platforms and national blog, and help increase visibility for the entrepreneurs and organizations we collaborate with. I also spend a great deal of time building relationships; often meeting people online and then connecting with them in person at our events.
What I enjoy most is creating opportunities for people to connect. Whether someone is launching a business, growing their network, or simply looking for a welcoming community, I want them to leave feeling like they found a place where they belong.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe one of the qualities most important to my success is my ability to connect with people and build rapport quickly. I’m genuinely interested in people, and that helps conversations feel natural rather than forced. Whether I’m meeting someone online, speaking with a business owner, or welcoming a new attendee, I can usually find common ground and make them feel comfortable.
That ability has helped me build trust and turn introductions into meaningful relationships. It has also helped me better understand people, recognize what they need, and find ways to support them.
I believe people remember how you make them feel. When someone feels seen, heard, and welcomed, it creates the foundation for a genuine connection.
