Meet Tareema Newsone of 72 Wellness Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tareema Newsone.

Hi Tareema, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always been passionate about creating spaces where people feel connected. After years working in hospitality, luxury living, events, and sales, I moved to Austin from California without knowing many people. The resident events at my apartment became more than something to attend, they gave me a genuine sense of community and showed me how powerful shared experiences can be.

Around that same time, I couldn’t help but notice that so many beautiful gyms and yoga studios in luxury apartment communities were sitting empty. I saw an opportunity to activate those spaces and turn them into places where neighbors could connect, move, and build relationships. That’s what inspired me to create 72 Wellness Group.

The name is deeply personal. My mom was incredibly passionate about health and fitness, and after she passed away, I wanted to build something that honored her legacy. She was born in 1972, which is where the “72” comes from. Every event we host is a reminder that wellness isn’t just about working out, it’s about creating community, making meaningful connections, and helping people feel their best.

Building 72 Wellness Group from the ground up has been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life. We’re on a mission to redefine wellness by bringing elevated, luxury experiences directly to where people live and work, making healthy living feel both accessible and unforgettable.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Building a business from the ground up while working full-time has required patience, consistency, and a lot of resilience. One of the biggest challenges has been getting people to see that 72 Wellness Group is about more than fitness, it’s about building community through elevated wellness experiences. Every setback has taught me something, and I’ve learned that lasting brands are built by showing up, staying adaptable, and trusting the process.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about 72 Wellness Group?

I’m most proud that we’ve built a brand rooted in purpose, community, and connection. 72 Wellness Group represents more than wellness; it’s about creating moments that bring people together and reminding them that taking care of yourself can also be a shared experience.
