Today we’d like to introduce you to Louis Obadal.
Hi Louis, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
In 2013 after fighting for my life and getting diagnosed with luous . It inspired me to do something better for the chronic illness community and spread awareness of the struggle we go through
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been and still is an uo hill battle in trying to achieve are end goal of helping those in need. Sadly many dont feel it is worth there time in fighting for housing for those struggling with chronic illness and just want to focus in awareness
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I mainly have focused on raising awareness on how broken and how much of a need there is to help those when first getting diagnosed with a chronic illness . So many face homelessness due to nothing of there choice but from an an unexpected illness that can throw their world upside down.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
That even in the worst of times there can be a positive and just becuse life feels like it has ended does not mean it is over and to give up is not the answer.
