Daily Inspiration: Meet Ashley Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Davis.

Hi Ashley, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always kept a journal of my thoughts and feelings about various things in my life. During the pandemic, I decided to put my thoughts and feelings into a book. I wrote my first 30 day devotional Bent But Not Broken. I also established a tshirt line as well to go along with my brand. They both were successful and sold well. My books are still selling as of today. Im also delighted whenever I see my quarterly statements come in. My goal is to continue to write more motivational books to inspire, motivate, and uplift others on their life’s journey. My goal is to help people to look atvthings from a more positive perspective verses the negative.

Because of me becoming a more public figure, I started my own Podcast show. A Date With Ashley D Podcast. This show allows me to discuss various topics, meet new people, and to learn the ins and outs of producing.

I also began my cleaning service during the Pandemic. My clientele are mostly for residential. I’m currently in pursuit of trying to obtain commercial contracts, however the residential side has been lucrative as well.

I’m a woman that wears many hats, but these are the two projects that took off for me and helped to change my life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With my Authorship, everything has been smooth sailing. The only challenging area was waiting on the final editing to be complete.

With Podcasting, the challenges come in when schedules are conflicting with the clients or the studio time isn’t available. Other than that, It all runs smooth.

With my cleaning service Ashley D’s Cleaning Solutions, business is good however there are times when people will cancel at the last minute and I’ve already calculated in those funds or I’ve already purchased the supplies that are needed to clean for them already. I just that’s why there is a saying to not count your chickens before they hatch.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a Licensed Insursnce Agent. I worked at Geico as a Customer Service Rep for 9 years. Geico changed my mindset to become more business minded and to carry myself as a professional. My language changed, the way that I dress, my interactions, and, my expectations on giving and receiving great customer service, bringing value to the table, my overlook on life itself.

During my 9 year run, I obtain Chairmans Club twice for being an over achiever.

What sets me apart from others is that I multi task well. While providing excellent service to run someone else’s company, that allows me to be able to run my own with the knowledge that will lead to success as long as I’m consistent.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Never be afraid to invest into yourself, your business, your brand. You have to believe in yourself first and eventually others eill believe in you as well. When challenges arise, don’t give up, keep a level head, and remember that you are a representation of yourself and your brand.
