Hi D. Carl, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Pontotoc Vineyard Weingarten is nestled in a limestone-walled courtyard with a Weinhalle under the shade of lumbering pecan, cypress, and oak trees in historic Fredericksburg, Texas. Similar to the Heurigen of Vienna, Austria, the Weingarten provides a family atmosphere in an intimate environment for sharing a picnic of our 100% Texas Hill Country wines, homemade pastries, and homemade picnic baskets. The mission of Pontotoc Vineyard is to make vintage wines of exceptional quality from grapes grown solely in the Texas Hill Country.
Dot’s Bakery is housed in a turn-of-the-century Craftsman cottage in historic Fredericksburg, Texas. The bakery was inspired by Frances Money’s childhood spent standing on a kitchen stool baking with her grandmother, Dorothy “Dot” Colvin, in rural Minden, Louisiana. Many of Dot’s recipes are incorporated into the menu and the script for the logo was replicated from her handwritten recipe cards. Over the past twenty years, Frances has served as a pastry chef for several well-known bakeries and restaurants in Austin, Texas, Dallas, Texas, and London, England. Dot’s Bakery is a tribute Dot and the realization of Frances’ childhood dream of opening a family bakery.
