Meet Lauren Lee of VITA Well Pilates Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Lee.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started in retail, eventually found Pilates and fitness, and completely fell in love with movement and the way it can change how you feel in your body and in your life. I’m a Polestar-certified Pilates instructor, NASM-certified personal trainer, and certified nutrition and health coach. In 2025, I took the leap and opened VITA Well Pilates Studio in Austin.

VITA stands for Vitality, Integration, Transformation, and Alignment, and our mission is to help people live a stronger, healthier, more connected life through movement. It’s grown into so much more than a studio. It is a community that I’m incredibly proud of and grateful for.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not! Starting a business has come with a lot of challenges, especially learning how to do everything at once while figuring things out as I go. I started VITA on my own, teaching about 40 classes a week, and now we have a team of 8 instructors. One of my biggest challenges has been learning how to shift from being an instructor to being a leader and learning how to build a team instead of trying to do everything myself. It’s been a huge learning curve, but also one of the most rewarding parts of growing VITA.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
VITA Well Pilates Studio is a Pilates studio in Austin focused on making movement feel approachable, effective, and fun. We offer group mat classes, private reformer sessions, and unique community experiences like our Mommy & Me classes, pop-ups, and events.

What really sets VITA apart is the community we’ve built. We’re not just focused on the workout. We want people to feel like they belong here. VITA stands for Vitality, Integration, Transformation, and Alignment, and our mission is to help people live stronger, healthier, more connected lives through movement.

I’m most proud of the brand we’ve created and how much personality it has. VITA feels elevated but still warm, welcoming, and a little different from the traditional Pilates studio. Most of all, I want people to know that VITA is for real people and real life. We believe movement should add to your life, not take you away from it.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
The people I love make me happiest! My fiancé, family, friends, and the VITA community. I love being surrounded by people who make me laugh and feel like myself. I also genuinely love creating things, whether that’s a new class, an event, a business idea, or a space that brings people together. I think I’m happiest when I’m building something I’m proud of while getting to share it with the people I love!
