Community Highlights: Meet Haddie LaRue of LaRue Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Haddie LaRue.

Hi Haddie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
LaRue Photography started from a simple love for photography and capturing real moments. What began as a hobby slowly grew into something I wanted to take seriously and build into a business.

As I gained experience, I started photographing a variety of subjects—from people and pets to cars, events, nature, and special moments. Each photoshoot helped me grow my skills, confidence, and style while allowing me to meet new people and tell their stories through my work.

Today, LaRue Photography is a growing freelance photography business serving Central Texas and beyond. My goal is to create high-quality, meaningful images while making every client feel comfortable and valued. I’m continuing to learn, grow, and build my business one shoot at a time, always staying true to my motto: “Real moments, real people. Guided by faith.”

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Starting a photography business has come with a lot of challenges, especially learning how to balance photography with school, work, and everyday life. There have been times when I questioned whether I was good enough or if my business would actually grow.

One of the biggest struggles has been building confidence and finding clients who believe in my work. I’ve had to learn through trial and error, improve my photography skills, figure out pricing and business decisions, and learn how to market myself. There have also been times when opportunities didn’t work out the way I hoped.

Despite the struggles, each experience has helped me grow. I’ve learned to be patient, keep improving, and not give up when things get difficult. My faith has also played a big part in reminding me why I started and encouraging me to keep moving forward. Every challenge has helped shape LaRue Photography into what it is today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
LaRue Photography is a faith-guided freelance photography business focused on capturing real moments, real people, and the stories behind them. I specialize in a variety of photography, including portraits, senior sessions, modeling, pets, vehicles, events, nature, food, and creative lifestyle photography.

What sets LaRue Photography apart is that I don’t want my work to feel overly staged or disconnected from who someone really is. I focus on creating images that feel genuine, personal, and memorable. Whether I’m photographing a person, a beloved pet, a special event, or a vehicle that someone has poured their heart into, I want every session to tell a story.

I’m especially proud of building LaRue Photography from the ground up and developing a brand that reflects my personality, creativity, values, and faith. My goal isn’t simply to take a good picture—it’s to create something that people can look back on years from now and still feel the moment.

LaRue Photography is also known for its vehicle photography and creative automotive work, combining my love of photography with the passion people have for their cars. From individual vehicle sessions to custom automotive artwork, I enjoy finding unique ways to showcase what makes each vehicle and its owner special.

Most importantly, I want readers to know that LaRue Photography is about more than photographs. It’s about people, memories, creativity, and connection. My motto, “Real moments, real people. Guided by faith,” represents the heart behind the brand and the kind of experience I want every client to have.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
It would have to be growing up in Nevada . More specifically, I grew up in the Reno’s Sparks area in Nevada, and it was amazing.I loved it seeing the mountains and the landscape , which is where I felt in love with the concept of landscape , photography and the weather up there was just so perfect.
