Today we’d like to introduce you to Kleigh Westphall.
Hi Kleigh, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up with an entrepreneurial father who found success in residential remodeling. Cabinet making was something I learned initially through reading many books and watching every cabinet related youtube video I could find. I’ve made it a central priority to surround myself with the very best area tradesmen and build my knowledge in this trade through sharing information. I worked for a very large cabinet company as a project manager and took projects on the side, as Monarch Woodworks for over a year, before I left to pursue it full time. It’s all I think about, and I am the most happy when I am crafting unique projects and expressing my artistic side. I want to be remembered for being a person of integrity, a man of faith and family, and diligently pursuing my passions.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I have been presented many unique challenges and learned hard lessons. I thought it would be the cabinet making that was the hard part. Perhaps something like making a 5 piece door or building a face frame with no visible fasteners. Really the primary challenges have been related to balancing cash flow and expenditures, as well as staffing, scheduling, and client relations. I’ve had to learn to be a better planner and see the big picture over the calendar year.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We build & install custom cabinetry and residential millwork. Kitchens cabinets, bath vanities, pantry cabinets, custom closets, and built ins. The craftsmen that work with us are part of our team because of the culture. They want to be part of something unique and special. It’s about the collective energy. We all strive to put out the best product possible. And if we aren’t absolutely pleased with our work, it wont ship out to our client until it’s right. We are known for passion. I’ve had several clients tell me that they wish they loved their job as much as I did. I’m so incredibly fortunate to do this for a living!

If you are a talented wood worker or painter, who is truly passionate about this, we would love to connect. We are also are open to building relationships with adjacent industry professionals. We do a lot of work with photographers and videographers. We also are interested in the work of creatives such as sculptors, carvers, and other artists.
