Meet Dr. Scott Mitchell of Limitless Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Scott Mitchell.

Hi Dr. Scott, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been interested in health, performance, and helping people feel and function better. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Medical Biology from the University of New England and later moved across the country to attend Life Chiropractic College West, where I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

After graduating, I eventually made my way to Austin and started Limitless Chiropractic. Like most small businesses, it began pretty simply. The goal was to create the kind of chiropractic office I would personally want to go to, one that felt welcoming and modern, focused heavily on patient experience, and gave people options beyond a very traditional healthcare setting.

Over time, Limitless has grown significantly. We now have multiple chiropractors, a great team, digital X-ray, spinal decompression, and a much larger patient base than when we started. We’ve also continued expanding the types of people we serve, from everyday families and athletes to people recovering from car accidents and injuries.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned along the way is that owning a healthcare practice is just as much about entrepreneurship as it is about being a good doctor. I’ve had to learn marketing, hiring, leadership, finances, systems, customer service, and how to build a culture that people actually want to be a part of.

More recently, that entrepreneurial side led me to start Health Hustlers, an Austin-based community designed to connect health and wellness professionals, create referral relationships, and help local businesses grow together.

At this point, what I’m building is much bigger than simply having a chiropractic office. My goal is to keep growing Limitless, create opportunities for the people on our team, and continue building things that strengthen Austin’s health and wellness community.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a perfectly smooth road. I think one of the biggest challenges with owning a business is that no one really prepares you for how many different roles you have to take on at once.

When I started Limitless, I wasn’t just a chiropractor. I was also handling marketing, scheduling, hiring, finances, customer service, operations, and pretty much anything else that needed to get done. There were plenty of times where I had to learn things through trial and error, and some of those lessons were expensive.

Growing the team has probably been one of the biggest challenges and also one of the most rewarding parts of the process. Learning how to hire the right people, train them well, delegate, and eventually trust other people with something you built from the ground up takes time. You also learn quickly that being a good doctor and being a good business owner are two very different skill sets.

There have also been the normal ups and downs that come with any business, months where things grow quickly, months where they slow down, marketing ideas that work really well, and others that completely flop. You have to get comfortable making decisions without always knowing whether they’re going to work.

The biggest thing I’ve learned is to keep adapting. Every challenge has forced me to get better at business, leadership, and decision-making. Looking back, most of the harder periods ended up being the moments that created the most growth.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Limitless Chiropractic is a modern chiropractic office in Austin focused on helping people move better, feel better, and get back to doing the things they enjoy.

We provide full-spine and extremity chiropractic care, digital X-rays, spinal decompression, personal injury care, and more specialized techniques such as Cranial Facial Release. We see a wide range of patients, from people dealing with everyday neck and back pain to athletes, families, professionals, and people recovering from auto accidents and other injuries.

What really sets Limitless apart is the experience we try to create. We never wanted the office to feel cold, overly clinical, or intimidating. Our goal has always been to create an environment that feels welcoming, energetic, modern, and very Austin.

We are also very focused on giving patients options. Some people come in because they are in significant pain and need a clear treatment plan. Others simply want to stay active, move well, and use chiropractic care as part of their overall health routine. We try to meet people where they are instead of forcing everyone into the exact same model of care.

Another major difference is our team. I am extremely proud of the doctors and staff we have built around the brand. As the practice has grown, I have become more focused on creating systems and a culture where patients can receive a consistently great experience no matter which doctor they see.

Brand-wise, I am probably most proud that Limitless has developed its own identity. We have worked hard to avoid feeling like a generic healthcare office. Everything from the name and design of the office to the way we communicate with patients is meant to reflect the idea behind “Limitless” helping people remove the things that are holding them back physically so they can keep doing more of what they love.

Ultimately, I want people to know that Limitless is not just about getting adjusted. We are trying to build a health and wellness brand that people genuinely enjoy being a part of, while continuing to expand the ways we can serve the Austin community.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that growth usually comes from being willing to adapt.

What worked when I first opened Limitless is not necessarily what works now, and I’ve had to become comfortable changing systems, changing strategies, and sometimes changing my own mindset as the business has grown.

I’ve also learned that the people around you matter just as much as the ideas you have. Building the right team, treating people well, and creating an environment where everyone takes pride in what they do has made a huge difference in the success of the business.

You can have a great vision, but if you’re not willing to learn, adjust, and surround yourself with good people, it becomes very difficult to keep growing.
