Today we’d like to introduce you to Raul Ceron.
Hi Raul, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started getting into business and real estate as a teenager without much money, connections, or a clear roadmap. I started in sales, got into property management at 17 because I was too young to have my real estate license, became licensed at 18, and built my first house at 19. From there, I learned how to raise capital, work with investors, use leverage, and build systems that allowed me to scale from one house to dozens of homes by 21. A lot of that growth came from financial literacy, learning how to sell, setting very specific goals, and being consistent even when I didn’t know exactly what I was doing. My story is really about how quickly your life can change when ambition gets paired with direction, calculated risk, and execution.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Some of my biggest struggles have been starting young without much money or a roadmap, learning to deal with rejection, and making expensive mistakes while figuring things out. As I grew, the challenge shifted from just making money to managing people, investors, debt, and the pressure that comes with scaling quickly. A lot of times I had to learn things the hard way, but those experiences taught me how to adapt, take accountability, and keep moving forward.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about RCG ESTATES?
I own and operate RCG Estates, a homebuilding company in South Texas. We build both spec homes and custom homes, and I started the company by building my first house at 19. Since then, we’ve scaled from one project at a time to building dozens of homes simultaneously across multiple communities. I oversee everything from acquiring land and raising capital to construction, sales, and growing the team and systems behind the company.
What were you like growing up?
I grew up in Mexico City and moved to South Texas when I was younger. I was always ambitious, curious, and competitive, but I didn’t necessarily have a clear path—I just knew I wanted to build something big and was willing to work for it.
