Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney & Stephanie Maxwell & Moreno.
Hi Brittney & Stephanie , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Our story began when we met while working together at a urology clinic. Stephanie was the Nurse Practitioner, and Brittney was working as the Medical Assistant. As we worked together, we quickly developed a strong professional relationship and eventually realized that we shared a similar vision for what we wanted our careers and lives to look like.
Between the two of us, we have experience caring for patients in many different settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and private homes. We have both always loved caring for people, but we also began to realize that we wanted to experience another side of patient care — the side where people are coming in feeling good, investing in themselves, and leaving feeling even better. We wanted to create the kind of environment that we would genuinely want to visit ourselves as clients.
That vision became Luxe League Wellness. We built Luxe together as equal co-owners with the goal of creating a space that combines our healthcare backgrounds with our passion for beauty, wellness, and meaningful client experiences. We wanted Luxe to feel welcoming, elevated, professional, and personal — a place where people could take care of themselves while also feeling cared for.
Our journey has also been about creating opportunities, not just for ourselves, but for other nurses who have dreams of building something of their own. After Brittney became an LVN, she discovered that there were limitations around providing mobile hydration services in the area where we live. Having just completed her training and knowing she had the skills and passion to provide this type of care, she didn’t want that to be the end of the story. We found a way to incorporate that vision into Luxe and continue building from there.
That experience reinforced something we both believe strongly: sometimes you have to be willing to create the opportunity you wish existed. We hope that as Luxe continues to grow, we can eventually help other nurses and healthcare professionals see that entrepreneurship is possible for them too.
Today, Luxe League is still evolving, and so are we. We’ve learned an incredible amount about healthcare, business, entrepreneurship, and each other along the way. What started as an idea between two women who wanted something different has grown into a business that reflects our shared vision — and we’re excited about where we can take it next.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road, but we honestly think the challenges have been an important part of our journey. Building a business in healthcare and wellness comes with a learning curve that neither of us could have fully understood before we started. We’ve had to learn the business side of things while also navigating regulations, operations, marketing, finances, technology, and all of the behind-the-scenes pieces that people don’t necessarily see when they walk into a beautiful wellness space.
One of our biggest challenges was figuring out how to turn our vision into something that could actually operate within the healthcare landscape around us. When Brittney became an LVN, she was passionate about mobile hydration and wanted to use the skills she had worked hard to develop. At the time, we were told that an RN would be required for mobile hydration in the cities where we were looking to provide those services. Rather than simply accepting that our vision wasn’t possible, we stepped back, researched, learned, and found a way to incorporate the concept into Luxe within the appropriate structure.
We’ve also had to learn that entrepreneurship requires flexibility. Some things we thought would work didn’t, some decisions had to be changed, and there have been moments where we had to completely rethink our approach. We’ve learned to listen to our clients, pay attention to what is happening in the industry, and give ourselves permission to evolve instead of feeling like we have to have everything figured out from day one.
Probably one of the biggest lessons has been understanding that building something meaningful takes time. There are exciting moments, frustrating moments, and plenty of moments where you have to remind yourself why you started. Through all of it, having each other as equal partners has been incredibly important. We bring different strengths and perspectives to the table, but we share the same vision for Luxe and continue to make those decisions together.
Looking back, the challenges have actually helped shape the business we are becoming. They’ve made us more intentional about the experience we want to create, the standards we want to maintain, and the kind of example we want to set for other healthcare professionals who may have an entrepreneurial dream of their own.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Luxe League Wellness is a beauty and wellness business founded and owned equally by Brittney and Stephanie. Our partnership began while working together at a urology clinic, where Stephanie was a Nurse Practitioner and Brittney was a Medical Assistant. We both came from healthcare backgrounds and shared a desire to create something that allowed us to experience another side of patient care—one centered around wellness, confidence, self-care, and positive experiences.
We created Luxe League because we wanted to build the kind of place we would want to visit ourselves. Our goal is to provide an elevated, personalized experience where clients can invest in their beauty and wellness while still feeling genuinely cared for and educated.
Our offerings have continued to evolve as we have grown, and today Luxe League focuses on aesthetic and wellness services including medical facials and corrective skincare, dermaplaning, chemical peels, microneedling, PRP/PRF treatments, neurotoxin services, vitamin injections, wellness offerings, and personalized treatment plans. We are passionate about helping our clients understand their skin, their options, and the “why” behind the services they receive rather than simply selling them a treatment.
What sets Luxe League apart is the combination of our healthcare backgrounds, our personal approach to client care, and the experience we are intentionally creating around our services. We want Luxe to feel elevated without feeling intimidating, and professional without losing the personal connection that is so important to us.
We are especially proud of how much Luxe has evolved since we first started. Building a business together has challenged us to grow not only as entrepreneurs, but also as healthcare professionals and leaders. We are constantly learning, refining our services, and finding ways to make the client experience better.
Ultimately, we want our clients to know that Luxe League Wellness is more than a place to receive a service. It is a space created by two women who genuinely care about people, believe in the power of self-care and confidence, and want every person who walks through our doors to feel seen, valued, and cared for.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What we like most about Austin is the energy and sense of possibility here. It’s a city where people are constantly creating, building businesses, trying new things, and pursuing ideas that may not have existed before. We love the entrepreneurial spirit and the fact that there is such a diverse mix of people, cultures, careers, and interests. There is always something happening, and there are so many opportunities to connect with other people and businesses in the community.
As healthcare professionals and business owners, we also appreciate that Austin and the surrounding area have a strong wellness, beauty, and entrepreneurial community. It has given us opportunities to meet people we may never have crossed paths with otherwise and has allowed Luxe League to become part of a much larger community.
If we had to choose something we like least, it would probably be the rapid growth of the area. Austin has grown so much, and while growth brings opportunity, it can also mean more traffic, higher costs, and sometimes losing some of the small-community feeling that originally made the area so special. We’ve watched the area change quite a bit, but we also recognize that growth is part of what makes Austin such an exciting place to build something.
