Meet Jon Olivieri of Austin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jon Olivieri.

Hi Jon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Initially it all started with a dream of doing something for myself and family down the road. An opportunity arose to help make a friends wedding more and I couldn’t help but jump at it. With a zero overhead model the first steps weren’t easy but we pulled it off and we have only enjoyed the many steps to come after.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
HAhahah no. But nothing worth doing was ever easy the first time and this is nothing if not a first for us. Logistics, capacity, space, time everything seems like its working against you in the moment. In hindsight the biggest struggle has been taking the risk to fulling give ourselves the chance to succeed in what we do.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I grew up working odd jobs in the restaurant industry and eventually I realized it was a space I not only loved but thrived. I’ve been in the industry for 16+ years now and been blessed to learn at every turn. I took it upon myself to deepen my knowledge of food and the wonders it facilitates in bringing people together. Along the way I found a great number of likeminded individuals who I proudly say supported me and I endeavor to support every day. From the amazing chef’s who kept me sane to the staff that helps keep everything running we’ve carved out a small space we hope to keep making larger to encompass every other bright eyed people loving heart we can find. Proudly we specialize in creating custom events and experiences, from niche meal plans for those who need them to inspiring events for those who have the guts to make it happen. I think we’re set apart from any of our counterparts by the fact that every single individual who is under our banner is deeply passionate about what we do. This isn’t a waypoint or a stop off on a longer journey, this is us cultivating our field and ensuring our grass is the greenest with daily efforts.

How do you think about luck?
I couldn’t say, I try not to think of things as lucky or unlucky. I like to acknowledge every bit of hard work that goes into what we do, if it is a win or loss doesn’t change the effort and heart I know went into every moment. We’re either learning and growing at every turn. I won’t let anyone pin our successes on luck nor would I diminish my supporters efforts by calling something unlucky.
