Today we’d like to introduce you to Eseoghene Akpoyoware.
Hi Eseoghene, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was a collegiate D1 track & field athlete at the University of the Incarnate Word from 2017-2022 and had a fruitful career holding the indoor track and field school record at one point. Once sports was over, I struggled to find my identity outside of athletics and it was a real struggle. I started my own business training younger track athletes until I got the opportunity to move to Austin to begin my sales career and have worked for some of the top tech companies including Oracle. I now am working on getting my personal trainers certification so I can continue to feed my soul outside of business and invest in others athletic/fitness journeys
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been the opposite of smooth from injuries while in college to experiencing corporate layoffs in the real world. One thing that has remained constant is my unwavering faith in God
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a former Division I athlete, I leverage my background in athletics to empower and inspire others through digital content creation. My work focuses on modeling and digital content creation centered around health, wellness, and personal growth. Beyond my time in front of the camera, I like to stay involved in the Austin and San Antonio communities by actively participating in local health and fitness initiatives.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
The biggest hurdle most people face when starting out is the fear of judgment. Coming from a sports background, I realized early on that people are far too focused on their own journey to criticize yours, so holding back only robs you of your potential. My mantra is simple: aim to get +1% better every day. You don’t need to transform overnight or wrestle with perfection; you just need small, continuous steps forward. When you commit to daily incremental growth, compound interest takes over, and the fear of what others think naturally fades behind your progress.
