Daily Inspiration: Meet Evgenia Hutson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evgenia Hutson.

Evgenia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story is a story of transformation – and of learning that strength is something we build from the inside out.

I grew up in Russia and eventually moved to the United States, where my life took many unexpected turns. Along the way, yoga became much more than a physical practice for me. It gave me a way to reconnect with my body, challenge myself, and create a sense of strength and clarity that extended far beyond the mat.

I started teaching yoga, first working with private clients and groups. As I grew as a teacher, I began developing my own approach to movement and realized I wanted to create something beyond individual classes – an online studio-based platform where people could practice consistently, connect with a community, and grow stronger together. That evolution eventually became Transforma.

Transforma is intentionally built for people who are open-minded about their physical practice, it’s not just doing yoga – it’s being curios, exploring what your body is capable of, and continue to evolve rather than repeat what they’ve always done.

Today, I still teach few private clients, but my main focus is growing Transforma through group classes, workshops, and an online community, while keeping that personal connection to with my students.
Most importantly, I prioritize my own practice as a student, I am committed to continuing to learn and grow, because I believe that every teacher is always a student.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Some of the hardest chapters and most transformative experiences of my life have included finding my way into sobriety and going through a difficult divorce.
Getting sober required me to completely rethink the way I was living and learn how to show up for myself in a very different way. It continues to shape who I am and how I approach life, my yoga practice, and everything else.

Today, the challenges look different, but they are still very real.
Building my own business while raising three children requires constant discipline, flexibility, and a willingness to keep going even when life gets bumpy.
I spend a significant amount of time driving between the DFW Metroplex and Austin to stay actively involved in my son’s life. I could choose a different, easier arrangement, but that’s not something I’m willing to do. I am committed to being present for my children, even when it requires extra time, driving, and sacrifice.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, Ayurveda Health Counselor, and founder of Transforma – an online yoga studio-based platform .

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I was born in the northern part of Russia, beyond the Arctic Circle, in a very unique and remote place. The winters were long, extremely cold, and dark, with very little daylight for much of the fall, winter, and spring. One of my favorite childhood memories is playing outside with my friends and building huge snow caves and tunnels, turning the snow into our own little world. Looking back now, I realize how severe the weather actually was, but as children, we simply saw it as an adventure. I think growing up in such a harsh environment taught me to be tough and resilient – and definitely not a wuss. 😄
