Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Merrifield.
Hi Alyssa , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hospitality has been my passion for over 11 years, and The Boozy Botanist grew straight out of my love for bringing people together.
I started out bartending on boats on Lake Travis, pouring my personality into every event and learning the ropes. Things really took off when I began working events in West Lake Hills. Word spread fast, and that word-of-mouth momentum is what truly built The Boozy Botanist into what it is today.
Over time, I expanded our services to cover everything from custom florals and tabletop styling to food and drinks under one roof.
My goal is simple: I want you to actually enjoy your party as a guest, rather than stressing over host duties.
Having poured my heart into over 50 celebrations, watching this grow from boat bartending into a full-service creative brand has been the joy of my life. At the end of the day, I just want to take the stress away and create an unforgettable memory.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. For a long time, my biggest stressor was the fear of failure, so I kept a full-time job as a safety net while building the business on the side.
Recently, I finally made the leap to full-time entrepreneurship, which meant getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. As a business owner, you have to accept that there will be slow or hard months financially, and that’s just part of the journey. Managing cash flow and always thinking several steps ahead- planning not just for today, but for next month and next year- has been the biggest lesson and challenge along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Green Room Collective, LLC?
The Green Room LLC is the parent company behind our two brands:
The Boozy Botanist and The Grand Pour.
With The Boozy Botanist, we handle full event design, micro-weddings, custom florals, and tabletop styling.
With The Grand Pour, we take care of full service bartending as well as mobile bar rentals.
Having everything under one roof means you get a seamless experience without juggling five different vendors. My biggest goal is making sure you get to actually be a guest at your own party instead of running around host-duty stressed out.
I am so proud of how organically this grew through word of mouth, starting on boats on Lake Travis and growing into luxury events in West Lake Hills and beyond. At the end of the day, when you work with us, you are getting dedicated, A+ service so you can just show up and enjoy your celebration.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
The best way to work with us is to reach out through our website or send us a direct message on social media, whether you are planning a wedding, a private dinner, or a large celebration.
If you are a local vendor, caterer, planner, or venue, we are always excited to collaborate. I also love attending and hosting networking dinners so we can meet in person, bounce creative ideas off each other, and grow together.
For anyone who wants to support us, word of mouth is everything. Sharing our work on social media, telling your friends and family about us, or recommending us for their next event means the absolute world to a growing business like ours.
