Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisset Castillo.
Hi Lisset, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started back in 2016 when I still lived in Miami, I longed to be a Veterinarian & I scored a job working at one and for a couple of years I worked at different vet clinics but soon realized I wanted more out of life, I didn’t want to work for anyone anymore, so in 2021 I decided to do Lashes,eyebrows & teeth whitening as a side hustle & then was an assistant to an Insurance broker… there was where everything changed. I became curious about the insurance industry & started asking questions. Couple months after BOOM i quit everything & became an insurance broker. Ever since then I have never looked back. I will say it was very hard at first working for yourself, but when you’re dedicated and strong minded and have a vision nothing can stop you. I will say eventually things slowed down & bill started trickling in & I ended up working for someone for about 6 months before i moved to Colorado (I was still doing insurance building my book of business I was never giving up on that, you work so hard) moved to Colorado Sept 2023 to work there in an office & 8 month pass by & I finally have the courage to quit & know that what i was making with my book of Clients was enough to pay my bills, & I took a leap of faith & ever since then I have not looked back then moved here in 2024 because my parents moved here from Miami & My business continues to grow & i genuinely love what i do! I love being able to wake up with no rush/ schedule. I get to pick my days & most importantly I get to help people with their insurance. I love being able to explain how health insurance works & how people can use it to their full advantage etc
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At first it wasn’t, I had to work several jobs while building my business

Im at insurance broker since 2021, I do all type of insurance. Mostly specialize in Health insurance such as marketplace,medicare,supplemental,dental,vision etc. I’m known for the health insurance broker that doesn’t sugar coat your insurance for you. I will always throughly explain why the plan fits your needs etc. what set me apart from others is that I don’t just help you find an insurance but I also help you from there on out with anything you need, I always tell a client to text or call me whenever they need help or have an emergency.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson is to never give up, when you truly have a vision or feel something in your soul you’re meant to do keep going & chase it because I promise no matter how many obstacles are in your way & you’re meant for something bigger it’ll happen.
