Today we’d like to introduce you to Dylan Ward.
Hi Dylan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Nesi Dylan Ward. I own and run DogDayswithDylan dog walking, daycare and boarding.
I have always been an animal lover and even more a dog lover.
Since the age of 10 I was always hanging around and spending countless hours with the street dogs in my neighborhood in the city of Calcutta, India where I used to bathe them, walk them and also feed them. It gave me great joy to love and care for them.
It’s always been very easy and natural for me to have a bond and share a connection with dogs. I have a natural ability and god given talent in communicating with them.
During Covid at the age of 45 I joined the Canadian Armed Forces but after a year was discharged. I realized that at my age and climb the ladder of rank was a tall task.
I was very depressed and down after leaving what had always been a childhood dream of mine that of being a military man.
It’s is very hard at this day and age to find a secure and well paying job!
After a lot of soul searching I decided to tap in to what I’ve always loved dogs and physical fitness.
I wanted to combine this philosophy and as if killing two birds with one stone the idea of dog days with dylan was born.
Taking dogs to the park running them, exercising them and providing them enrichment!
Waking up everyday to me doesn’t seem like I’m going to work but more like I’m going to spend time with my best friends!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Initially I was working for someone but after I went out on my own I was anxious and worried if I would have enough business and clients to keep busy and be able to sustain myself.
By the grace of God that wasn’t the case as I had curated many friendships and relationships at the dog park that has kept my stable of dogs fairly full.
We’ve been impressed with Dog Days with Dylan, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is dog walking, doggie daycare and dog boarding.
I’m a small business that takes pride in the quality of attention that each individual dog receives. I go above and beyond to make sure that each and every dog that I consider my personal friend gets the best experience and care!
What sets me apart from the others is that I being a fitness enthusiast myself take the exercising and play of the dogs very seriously. I become one of them when we go on our off leash outings to the park where I promote them running, wrestling and giving their all. That way they are completely satisfied and fulfilled!
What I would want your readers to know about my brand is that no matter the weather hail, rain, snow, storms, sleet tsunamis I’m going to show up and provide them the best time!
