Sean, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I love our city and have called Austin home since 1997. Before getting into real estate professionally, I spent more than 22 years in hospitality and food and beverage management. That experience taught me how to listen, communicate, solve problems, and stay levelheaded when things get stressful. Those skills have been a big part of how I approach real estate.
I also brought experience as a real estate investor, landlord, and small business owner. Having been on that side of things gave me an appreciation for how much a property decision can affect someone’s finances and everyday life.
I earned my Texas real estate license in 2019, bringing together my interest in real estate, my knowledge of Austin, and my background in service. In 2023, I founded Realty Tipps Group at Spyglass Realty. We’ve grown into a team of six agents and were recognized as the brokerage’s highest-producing team in 2025, which I’m really proud of.
Along the way, I’ve also built a YouTube channel where I share practical information about living in Austin and its surrounding communities. It’s another way to help people understand their options, especially those relocating here who need a feel for everyday life beyond the listing photos.
Today, my focus is on helping our clients make confident decisions and supporting our agents as they grow. Whether someone is buying their first home, selling, relocating, or investing, I want them to feel informed, supported, and comfortable asking questions. That service mindset has been the common thread throughout my career.

The market has been a roller coaster ride over the last 6 years going back to the pandemic. In this industry it’s about hard work and bing able to pivot.

Realty Tipps Group is a residential real estate team at Spyglass Realty serving Austin and the surrounding communities. We help people buy, sell, relocate, and invest, with a strong focus on practical advice, local knowledge, and clear communication. Our goal is to help clients understand their options and make decisions that fit their lives.
Relocation is a big part of our business. Having lived in Austin since 1997, I’ve watched this area grow and change. We help clients think beyond the house itself and consider things like their commute, neighborhood feel, access to activities, and what an ordinary day will look like. My YouTube channel extends that approach by giving people an honest look at Austin and its surrounding communities, including the tradeoffs that aren’t always obvious when browsing homes online.
For sellers, we put a lot of thought into how a home is prepared, priced, and presented. Depending on the property, that can include staging guidance, contractor coordination, professional photography, 3D tours, floor plans, and targeted digital marketing. We combine that preparation with exposure through social media, agent networks, and platforms such as Zillow Showcase and Homes.com. Every property has a story, and our job is to identify what makes it compelling and communicate that effectively.
What sets us apart is the combination of a service-focused background and firsthand ownership experience. My years in hospitality taught me to anticipate needs, stay calm under pressure, and follow through. My experience as an investor, landlord, and business owner helps me look at properties from several perspectives and ask questions beyond whether a home looks good during a showing.
Brand wise, I’m most proud of the reputation we’re building around being approachable, knowledgeable, and dependable. I founded Realty Tipps Group in 2023, and being recognized as Spyglass Realty’s highest-producing team in 2025 was a meaningful milestone. Just as meaningful are the reviews, referrals, and repeat clients who trust us with another chapter of their lives.
