Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan White.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My path into entrepreneurship started with a lesson I learned through baseball. After playing in college, I coached young athletes. I remember sitting in a training facility in Warner Robins, Georgia, watching other instructors work while I waited for someone to ask for me. I knew I could help, but the parents did not know me.
That experience taught me that being good at your work does not automatically mean people will discover you or trust you. I had to introduce myself, build relationships, and give people a reason to choose me.
I eventually saw the same problem online. There were talented business owners and established experts with years of experience whose online presence did not reflect what they had accomplished. That gap became the foundation for Social Revelation, which I founded in Atlanta in 2017.
Since then, we have worked with more than 3,000 entrepreneurs and brands. I have also built an audience of more than 3 million on my own Instagram account, @ceoryanwhite. Today, Social Revelation is headquartered in Austin, Texas, but Atlanta is where the business began.
Our work focuses on helping established experts build an Instagram presence that reflects the credibility they have already earned. The goal is to help the right people understand who they are, trust their expertise, and see a clear reason to work with them.
Being a husband and father also shapes how I think about growth. I want to build a business that serves people well and leaves room for the life I am building with my family.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road. One of the hardest lessons was learning that a business can look successful while still depending too heavily on things you do not control.
There was a period when much of our growth came through referrals and white-label partners. Those relationships created opportunities, but when their priorities changed, our pipeline changed with them. I had to recognize that serving clients well and building a reliable way for new clients to find us were two different responsibilities.
We also experienced changes in platform access and technology that forced us to rethink how we operated. That taught me to be careful about building an entire strategy around a feature, a tool, or a tactic that could change tomorrow.
Another challenge was realizing that producing more content did not always solve the right problem. A business owner could post consistently and still leave people unclear about who they helped or why their work mattered. We had to put more thought into positioning, proof, and the purpose behind the content.
Those experiences made me a more deliberate operator. I ask better questions now: Where are we too dependent? What are we actually measuring? Is this useful to the client, or does it just look impressive?
I still have to work at it, but the biggest shift has been taking responsibility for building a stronger business instead of assuming that hard work alone will make it stable.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Social Revelation is an Instagram authority and positioning firm. We help established experts turn the credibility they have earned in their work into an online presence that makes their expertise easier to see and understand.
We work with speakers, authors, coaches, entrepreneurs, and other professionals who have something valuable to share. Often, they are already respected by the people who know them, but their Instagram presence does not communicate the same level of experience. That is the gap we focus on closing.
Our flagship offer is the Instagram Accelerator System. Our approach brings together clear positioning, audience growth, healthy engagement, and a practical content strategy. We want people to be able to visit a client’s profile and quickly understand who they help, what they stand for, and why they are worth listening to.
What sets us apart is that we look beyond the follower count. Audience growth matters, but so does the message a person sees when they arrive. A larger audience cannot fix an unclear offer or replace a strong sales process. We are direct about that because clients deserve realistic expectations.
We also believe growth should be sustainable. Clients can post daily if they choose, but they should not have to turn Instagram into their full-time job to build a meaningful presence.
I am proud that Social Revelation has worked with more than 3,000 entrepreneurs and brands since 2017. What matters most to me is helping people communicate the value of work they have already spent years doing. I want readers to know that you can take your online presence seriously without building a personality that feels disconnected from who you are.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
My faith and family are central to how I think about success. I want the business to grow, but I also want to serve people honestly and be present as a husband and father. Those priorities shape the kind of company I want to keep building.
For someone starting out, my advice is to get close to the people you want to help. Talk to them. Learn what they are struggling with. Make sure you can clearly explain how your work helps before investing more energy in promotion.
I learned that lesson in a baseball facility long before I built Social Revelation. People need a chance to know you and understand your value. You can start creating those opportunities before you have a large audience or everything figured out.
